My Health
turn it into laughter, especially where my job is concerned.
The rheumatoid arthritis it attacks my joints.
I have Rays syndrome that makes my hands icy cold,
My eyes and mouth are dry, it's Sjogrens syndrome I am told.
My ulcer is coming back, my body still is swollen,
By the way, drug side effects could affect the colon.
The newest drug, on your liver it could feast,
We need to take your blood once a month at least.
You haven't got the time, so please don't even ask,
Telling you how I am is such a weighty task!
I'm here today, (work) and that's enough,
I hurt like hell, but keep trying to be tough.
So just smile when I arrive,
satisfied I'm still alive.
Whenever I come through the door,
Remember to get here was quite a chore!
another victim of R.A.
Laughter is not a cure, but it can make the symptoms tolerable!
