Other Stuff: During the past 3 1/2 years I've had a whole string of
auto-immune diseases, starting with what I'm sure, in retrospect, was
Crohn's Disease. Then got polymyalgia rheumatica and six months later severe
RA. Six months after that diagnosed with Giant Cell Arteritis of the sub-clavian
arteries (no pulse or blood pressure). I recently stopped taking MTX because
a Dr. at the Mayo Clinic said I couldn't have GCA and RA at the same time.
Wrooong! So, during the past three months the RA has returned with a
vengeance.
Have started glucosamine, chondroitin, pregnenolone and nettle without much
effect. Also have found that when the barometric pressure goes way up (I
live near the ocean) the pain is much worse.
Just trying to figure out where to go from here.
Compared to the rest of the people on this list, I'm in good shape.
Something to be thankful for.
Next step? Disability?
