Other stuff: I have had RA for 6 years. When I was diagnosed, they
told me I was very sick (RF in the 700s). I was sure my life was over and
the that I would never be able to do the things I loved. I want to let
people with RA know that sometimes you can have good control of the disease
and pursue a physical life. I'm in good control of my disease and have a
very active physical life (within limits) with my horses. It is possible and
life is not over with a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. I was terrified
of that when I was diagnosed and I had no one to talk to about my fear.
Thankfully, I found the internet and sites like this one (and others) to
share my fear and learn about this disease.
