Sometimes all these registrations are confusing. There are four different sections on our site that involve some kind of registration process:

1. Site Registration: (You are here!)
   This puts you on our member list and signs you up for the newsletter. (This registration is not required to use the site - it's strictly optional. While we don't post or sell any of your registration information - you can always view the newsletter at: /community/newsletter if you don't feel comfortable giving out any personal information. You do not need a member name or password to browse the site.)
2. Chatroom:
   When you enter the chatroom you are given the chance to register a "nickname" to use while chatting. (Also optional, you can always enter the chatroom as a "guest" by just clicking "enter" if you don't want to register.) When you get to the sign in screen enter your nickname where it says "guest", click the box next to "use light client" and click "enter", then once in the chatroom click "register nickname". After you're registered no one else will be able to use your nickname and you'll be able to enter your password upon entering. If you have any problems - just holler, the people that hang out in the chatroom are very friendly and willing to help!
3. Message Boards:
   When you try to post you will be asked to register. (This is so we can try to keep the salesmen out of the boards.) You can read the boards without registering, but to post you'll be asked to pick an ID and password.
4. Free e-mail account:
   This one's less confusing - just fill out the request form by picking an e-mail address (you@arthritisinsight.com) and a password and hit "submit". E-mail accounts are set up manually so it could take several days to get confirmation of your new e-mail address.
