Dan's Story
Ptd941230376@aol.com
My name is Dan and I am 46. Last year I
was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and
more recently Sjogrens Syndrome. The past twelve months has been a
series of successive flareups with only a handful of days of relief. My
major symptoms are eye inflammation, debilitating fatigue, sleeping
disorder, muscle and joint pain, irritable bowel, headache eminating
from the back of the neck. Less frequent symptoms are dry nose, mouth,
nose bleeds, mouth sores, chest pains and sensitivity to sunlight.
This sudden onset seems to have happened within a few weeks of a major
neck surgery. I must maintain an apartment near work since I cannot
commute the 110 miles round trip between my home and work. I need to nap
nearly every day for a couple hours and otuside of work hours I spend
most of my time resting. The only medication I am currently taking is
for sleep.
Doctors tells me that RA or Lupus may still be the long term culprit.
Time will only tell I suppose. I test positive on the ANA but not very
high I am told. Any feed back from fellow sufferers will be appreciated.
