This N That

There most be very few of you out there with back problems. Or at least just a few that are willing to talk about it. This week we'll learn a little about back pain, one of the most common areas to fall prey to chronic pain.

We asked for your advice and comments on our survey form and you said:

"Please take it easy, lift with your legs and never your back. Some back exercises will strengthen your back but take it easy and ask your doctor which ones will work for you..."

" I've learned that your back is a preacious part of your body and it needs to really taken care of, as with any part of the body..."

"...swimming and some stretchening exercises are best..."

"I've gone to a back cracker and seems to temporarily fix my pain, but it keeps returning..."

"I wish my back did't hurt as much. But I am getting used to the pain since I live with RA, OA, TOS, Spina Bifida, Jaw pain, ankle problems and what ever else they can find wrong with me..."

"...long hot soaks in the bath and moist heating pad. And a good massage is always nice..."

"Watch how you lift!!! Listen to your body. Don't push. Mild exercersize helps strengthen mucsles..."

Don't forget to join us tonight (July 24th) at 9:30pm Eastern time in the Chatroom as Dr. Ken Merriman stops in to discuss back problems.
