Home Access to Medications
In this discussion: One thing mentioned in many of the survey responses was the high cost of drugs. Several of you said you had no insurance and could not afford them. Others on government assistance found that they are not a covered expense, so they were denied access to them. I think that is horrible, no one should be denied access to a medication that may greatly improve their quality of life. If you are as concerned as I am, please join me in letting our elected officials know. Let's make our voices heard!

Access
to Medications
Call, write, fax or email your elected officials. Let them know that you consider Medicare reforms to ensure that people living with arthritis have access to prescription drugs a high priority. Tell them of you own experiences with arthritis and the high cost of drugs. Explain how the medications have improved your quality of life and that everyone should be able to do the same.
We really can make a difference, but only if we all work together. Please take the time to write today. Below are links to a sample letter from the Arthritis Foundation and to Arthritis Insight's Get Involved! Listing of state representatives.
If you'd like to cc info@arthritisinsight.com on your emails, we'd love to see what you wrote and maybe share it with the rest of our community.
