Home In this discussion: NSAIDs Wow!
I sure can't complain about lack of response to this survey! I think
this has been our most responded to Featured Discussion survey yet! Although
the majority of those responding do currently take a NSAID, I was
surprised at the number that aren't. I thought I was the only one who
couldn't take them. Now I don't feel so alone. Celebrex
seems to be the NSAID of choice right now with Vioxx running a close
second. Mobic is up there as well as the old standbys, Ibuprofen,
Relafen, and Naproxen among others. Most
of you have stopped at least one NSAID due to side effects. The most
common side effect you reported was stomach upset. Some of you have had
problems with gastrointestinal bleeding related to NSAIDs. This
week we will look at some of the commonly used NSAIDs, talk about side
effects, what you can do to lessen them and what to report to the
doctor. It will be a busy week so stop back every day and you won't miss
