I am heartbroken over Shug and only wish I could hug her husband. I know telling him how how wonderful she was would be unnecessary - he already knows.

I came home today after a short stay in the hospital and learned of Shug's passing. My troubles seem so small compared to everything she endured.

Co_Mel, no one's troubles are small. I dare say that Shug would be one of the first to tell all of us that. It has been my personal experience that sometimes the niggling, minute but every present difficulties are the most problematic.

Why were you in the hospital? I remember reading elsewhere of your ongoing problems with your gallbladder and hope you have not suffered further complications with that.

I know we are all sad, but we had some  good news yesterday and I thought I'd share.

Dh had his regular yearly checkup yesterday. He has diabetes, high B/P and is quite overweight.
He went in expecting to be chewed out and to hear that his numbers were bad.

Well, he's lost a little weight, his diabetes is very tightly controlled, and his B/P is NORMAL. Also his cholesterol numbers are right smack in the middle of perfect.. Low bad Hdl, high good cholesterol, and triglycerides are exactly where they should be.

He was a happy camper.

As for me, the boil continues to heal, but I have to go back again next week. I went yesterday and  its still ugly. Grrr. It is resistant to about 6  antibiotics, and there are about 6 that  will treat it.
Life is GOOD!

Kathy, it's great to read your good news.

Hi Mel, Pin and Aba

I'm just so happy to be home.  It was a long day in meetings, Costco and Trader Joe's.  Too much for one day but at least it's behind me.  Tomorrow I'm sleeping in, unless the furkids wake me.  Hopefully, DH will get up, take the cats with him and close the bedroom door.

Hope everyone's evening is delightful and quiet.  Lindy

I'm here occasionally, not much to report other than we still don't know which bin to put my diagnosis in... meaning I dunno what's wrong with me and the MD's don't either. I'm working, glad to have a job and to be able to work as some of us are not as fortunate. I have a grand daughter now. She'll be 3 months old on the 27th. She's in MN and I'm in AL :(
She's beautiful and a BIG girl, weighed 8 lbs 10 oz. They were here a few weeks ago. Brought her to the hospital where I work so I could show her off. She weighed almost 14 lbs already! Big beautiful blue eyes.... I'm gonna have to post a picture of her. When I get to work each day, I go to my email and pull up her picture so if I get stressed, I just look at her and it makes me smile :)
