You have surgery, you buy all the assistive devices you need while you recover; reacher, sock puller, shower chair, walker, etc. After the recovery period is over you stick them in the back of the closet where they sit and gather dust. Not any more! Put them in the Arthritis Insight Lending Closet! Or, you bought every arthritis related book there was when you were diagnosed, now that you've memorized them, share the knowledge-loan them to someone else! You are having surgery, you need $200 worth of assistive devices but you don't have the money. Where to turn? The Arthritis Insight Lending Closet! The Lending Closet is a message board where you can list the items you are willing to loan to others. Or post a message stating what you need and would like to borrow. Arrange the loans, agree to a permanent or temporary loan and send them out. If you need help covering the costs of shipping, please let us know and we will be glad to cover the expenses. I
