For over a year I was on 6 pills of the methotrexate, weekly. The next two days I would vomit every thing I tried to eat. My new RA dr. kept telling me she was going to put me on the injectable methotrexate, but she or I would forget when I was there for an appointment. The last time I was there (about a month ago) I reminded her again, and she told me she would have get her nurse to teach me how to give myself a shot. I reminded her that I was an insulin dependent diabetic. She then wrote me out a prescription for the injectable methrotrexate. I have not been sick one time since I have give myself the injectable methotrexate. What a relief. Is anyone else on the injectable methotrexate? I think it is wonderful.
Hi Vanessa....I don't use the injectable mtx, (the oral mtx doesn't seem to bother me) but just wanted to say how happy I am that that the injectable works so well for you!! I'm sure it really is a relief!

Yea I am on the injectable mtx... I only have a little bit of tummy issues but its usually day 3 after mtx and a benadryl makes it go away. So glad that it helps you and your not having any reactions to itHi Vanessa, I switched from oral pills to injectible, not because I had a stomach problem but as a preventative measure. I didn't want to take a chance with my stomach. There are too many other things that go wrong when you have a chronic illness. I don't mind the injections. LindyVanessa,

I was on it but I put it in water and drank it instead of injecting. I don't get any stomach issues either. I went off of it for surgery and into week nine still doing good without it! Going back to work on Monday after having the summer off, so time will tell.......
