How's this work? Does the chat title make sense, or should I adjust it somehow?Nice try but it won't work.  Such the pessimist. Just wait till this evening when all the little chatty girls are online. This thread'll come in handy I'm willing to bet!Hiya Katie -  By hook or by crook - I'm first in your book!!  (well, I was when I started typing it anyway See????   Told ya! LOL Jeanne!!!!! I wouldn't mind joining that concert, to be honest! Have fun!!!Matt, are you willing to chat with us???  That would be great!  We need more folks!

Yes, I'm at work and now that the slow season is here, I need my people to chat with and keep me smiling!!

I have 6 hours left on my shift and there are only 4 people left to check into the hotel. Can we say SLOW?

Going to my Son and DIL's baby shower in a couple of weeks.  My Mom used points to get us 1st class tickets (I live in VA.  I can hardly wait. Then I will go back in Oct. for the birth.  Just a little excited.

I love his thread and even if I don't participate, if this is half as good as the last time, you guys will have me laughing out again.

Oh how AWESOME!! First class is sooooo nice. When is the baby due??? She should have the baby on the 14th. That is *the* best day in October!

I can't wait to shake myself around!  I'm an old rocker.

That should be fun dotty.  My sons are at Ozzfest right now, as we speak.  My youngest dyed his hair bright blue/red for it.  He looks like a parrot.  His best friend's hair looks like Easter grass - LOL

Katie, thanks for starting this thread.  I love having a thread that we can pop in an out of, discuss what we're doing, where we're going, just the everyday mundane things.  It's interesting because we're all so different.  I'm in.

I just got back from doing a little exercising.  Did the treadmill for 5 minutes and slipped into the pool and did some exercises, floated in the sun, and chatted with a couple of other woman who have RA and we all go to the same RD.

Going to stay in this evening and watch a movie, Jim Henson's The Storyteller.  It's a retelling of classic folktales, fables, and legends, using Jim's puppets and human actors.  Has anyone seen 300?  Sounds and looks really interesting.

Crispy, it's great that you're going to be able to surprise your son.  You'll have a great time.

I'm going to a Poison concert next weekend.  Really looking forward to it.

I'm going to shake myself around!  I'm an old rocker.

Posted twice, not to bright!Oh I'm jealous! I'd love to float around a pool right now! Stupid job!!! What is WITH these things called jobs anyway?!?! I mean really. *sigh*

Hill, you didn't go?  Did you take pics of the guys?  There were some young teens at the pool and they were so funny.  I really love that age.

Dotty, I'm an old rocker myself.  Last concert I went to was Jimmy Buffet last year in Las Vegas. Not much of a rocker but a really fun concert.   Not much comes to Yuma but we're going to be in Tucson for the month of October and I may take a look and see who's playing.  It's time for another concert.

The baby (girl) is due on 10/15.  Zac's (son) b'day is 10/5, and they got married 10/4/05.  So October is a BIG month.  NO surpises, they know about the shower and that me and "Honey" my mother are coming.

They live in Berkely.  I grew up in Houston, went to college in SO. CAL.  Moved up to the Bay Area (Alameda) in 1980.  Stayed there until I came east in 96 and been here in Old Town Alexandria ever since.  Don't regret the move, but I miss my boys so bad and its gonna be worse now with the grandbaby.  The guys are 32 and 30, but they are still my boys.

crispy39312.648287037

Okay guys, I am going on a date with my hubby right now.  Our kids gave him a gift certificate to a Japanese Hibachi restaurant for father's day.  The kids are away, so the parents are gonna play!  I'll be back on later - my hubby falls asleep by 9:30!

Have fun!

No! Have that baby on the 14th!!!!

OK, I will give them the word, Katie, nothing but the 14th will do!

LOL In case you didn't guess it, that's MY birthday... *grin*Oh yeah, that came thru loud and clear!!!!!!!!!

LMAO

Just makin sure....ya know.....in case.........

    GREAT  THREAD  KATIE!!!

I just got back in from dinner out with family. Had great fun! My baby Emma was there and she's is just the grandest little thing, even if she is starting the terrible twos ( drivin her mama crazy)

OOHHH and 2 minutes before we walk out the door a friend calls my hubby and asks if he wants to go play 9 holes(golf). Hubby said yes,  hangs up, and ASKS if he can go!  PPFFFTTT! What a  ninny! I didnt care , really, he washed and waxed my car as I was napping

Have fun with Justin Katie but hurry and put him to sleep

Concert goers have a great time! My son went to a Kenny Chesney last weekened. My last concert, back in the day was The Eagles

OMG I'd *love* to go to an Eagles concert. I'm so jealous!!!!!

Howdy everyone, I'm home and hubby is asleep ahead of time.  A full belly and a drink at dinner were all it took!

I am jealous of the Eagles concert too, but I'm even more jealous of the grandbaby named Emma!  Right now I have a granddog I get to babysit.  His name is Capone, and he's fun, but just not as much fun as a baby fix.   It will still be a while for grandbabies for me.  And that's okay, but I know how much I'm going to love being a grandma.

Hey Hillhoney glad you had a good dinner date w/hubby. Mine skipped out on us

Don Henley is my fav Eagle, have all their cd's. They are one of those groups that never get old

Hubby just showed me a huge, baseball size knot on his shin bone! Got hit w/rock while weed eating, then went golfing
Crispy, I also live in VA. Northern VA. Right next to DC. Small world, huh. What is this topic for? I don't get it. Just chatting on our day?

cskalski39312.7917476852Mary, I've never heard of such a cool tradition.  I love it.  You guys wanna adopt me?

This must be a west coast forum. The time here is 10:03 PM, but my posts are 3 hours behind. Hmm. How is everyone tonight. My day has been boring, as my car is dead. I have been trapped at my house all day and it is BEAUTIFUL in VA right now. Must be why my RA is so under control today.

Hope everyone has a blessed and pain free weekend.

And adopt me!  My posts all show the proper, central time........9:07PM Sure, I can adopt you all.  After all I have 6 kids, so what are a few more?

We do have a special family.  My 15 year old is so excited to go shopping with her relatives even if thy are 25 to 70 years older than her.  This year will be better than last.  I had to bring a wheelchair and my 84 year old aunt would push me

I want to go with MaryB, even if it's school clothes shopping.

MaryB, can't help you with boots, I don't do cold weather anymore.

I'm going to go watch my movie in a few minutes.  Nighty night.  Lindy

Mmmmm Hurricane!!!!

Yay. Isn't that pretty? NOT! But right now, the predicted path is Mexico/Texas. Yay for me. HOWEVER......it's always a toss up once it hits the Gulf. The jet stream is VERY different, and can shift storms over all kinds of crazy paths.

So. Who wants to take bets if this is accurate or not? Ohhh, I am jealous Lindy.  I spent most of my life in Southern California or the central coast.  I moved to Eastern WA when I married my husband.  I HATE the cold, even before RA.  Right now it is beautiful, temp is between 85 and 95 degrees.  I don't even mind when it is over 100.  When our last kid graduates from high school we will think about moving. It doesn't look good, no matter where it goes.  Once its in the gulf, you know it's going to hit land somewhere.  I have actually tried to make a conscious effort not to watch the news about it, because it makes me crazy to think about it.  I just hope and pray it doesn't do major damage.I know, it's already almost a 5! I swear it went from a 1 to a 4 in 24 hours. It's a monster! This probably sounds mean, but I think it's Mexico's turn for a hurricane.....

WOW wouldn't it be neat if we could all meet up somewhere centrally located and go shopping, and hang out, go eat and sight see! That would be sooo cool and I could bring a switch for Joonie and Katie

I would love to do the family shopping thing, but I would need my scooter. Good thing I was never a big shopper, huh?

Oh, Lindy, I know what you mean about retiring and getting sidetracked with RA (or other chronic problem) I have tons of sewing, and crafts materials I had been accumulating for a few years, and can't do them. Ditto with our travels.

Sorry

LOL Not at all Nini!!!! This is *sort of* a chat....it works!!

Katie you have enough momsWell, just meet us at the Lloyd center in Portland, OR next weekend.  My daughter and I are actually going to start with a "spa" morning, then drive the 3 hours to Portland.  I can justify the drive because there is no sales tax in Oregon

Ok I leave to go to the in-laws for dinner and watch Wild Hogs, and you guys have 5 going on 6 pages of conversation without me?!

I am just... JUST...

Ok who said they were going to have me wash dishes? UNUH!! NOPE! NO CAN DO!!!

Oh Mary, that's beautiful!  It sounds like it will be a wonderful trip for all of you.  Have fun!

Oh yeah, that's definitely a lot of estrogen.  No man in his right mind would go!  I think it is so wonderful to have all those generations of women together.  Actually makes me a little teary, LOL.

Have a great time.  Just remember to stop to pee before you get to the falls!

Hey Joonie how was the movie? I thought you loved to wash dishes

If your not here we will talk about ya

Our waiter tonight was from Oregon. How neat!

 Scary but beautiful falls Mary

It was pretty funny. I did not dooze off while watching it like I did PathFinder and what ever that other movie hubby made me watch was.

OH NO!! I do not like dishes. I would rather throw them away and get anew.So yeah, it's 11pm at night, and I have no idea what Justin and I are going to eat for dinner. Any suggestions??!

Mac & Cheese and a Sam Adams Boston Lagger!

Darn it! I wish I had some mac & cheese now. LOL Neither one of us can have cheese!!!! But thanks for the suggestion!

Katie I suggested oodles of noodle one time already, are you ignoring me?

Oh Great well can he eat eggs maybe soft scrambled? Whats in the fridge and cabinets to choose from?

Jack sh*t. LOL

I think we're gonna raid the walmart deli. Sounds like a plan! We have a kick ass brand new one in the next town over, and its so fun to go at night when no ones there. Joonie, you'd actually LIKE this walmart! lol

*kicks can over to the chat thread* Darn new board rules!

I am here!! Anyone miss me for the couple of mins I was kicking the can over here trying to find my way to the "chat" thread?

Katie? Does your new Wal-Mart look like a castle? And even the garden department enterance look so not like the garden department enterance?

Sorta. It's just so clean and pretty and they actually carry NICE things. It's almost not a walmart.....

I can't wait, cause we're getting brand new, shiney Target!  They are supposed to open in October.  I am thinking of having my hubby's paycheck direct deposited there, cause that would just save so many steps.

He can't handle eggs, but he can handle deli meats????

Oh he can handle eggs. We just don't have any. LOL Besides, eggs make for some RANK farts.

OMG I had the nastiest farts at work today. I'm so glad it was slow!!!
Well... hillhoney... I hate to break it to ya... but your Nice, shiney Target is not going to be soo shiney, before it gets opened. The birds are sh*t bombing it right now as we speak, and we all know... bird poopsie is not shiney. Unless... you feed them glitter We had a cardinal trapped in our Target once. The employees were calling him their Mascot. Poor little guy. He was really pretty though.

OMG!! You will get woke up by Justin's RANK "sparrow fart" LMAO!

Ohh.... I have been waiting to use that!
Crispy, I live right down the street from you in Springfield VA! Nice to know folks are nearby. Was the weather here awesome today or what? Nice to hear from you.

Chris

wtf is a sparrow fart???????

Yeah, I kept think "sparrows fart" everytime I would open the fridge door today.

Thanks Sarah aka wills08 for sparrows fart okay kiddos, I'm outa here. Gonna hang with my baby and the kitties for a while, and hit up wally world. ttyl!!!!!

OH! Look at Chris making us look bad and following the just put in place rules!

Your taking the kitties to wally world? Just make sure you claim them as seeing eye cats LMAO

You ladiez so crazy!

I always wondered if vegatarians are allowed to use lamb skin condoms?

Anyone watch Monk this week? Meat is murder episode? It was pretty good. 20 questions... its a mineral.

Well, my sons have gotten home from Ozzfest.  They were there since 10:00 this morning.  Baldy boy Dan has his whole head and face sunburned bright red!  Poor guy.

They were a bit disappointed in Ozzie though.  They said he was just mumbling and didn't sound good at all.  They worry he either has something wrong with him medically, or is no longer clean and sober, which would be heartbreaking for his poor family.

But they loved everything else about the day, and all the other bands who performed.  And I love the fact that they are home safe and sound and I can now relax and go to bed!

Hillhoney39312.9300694444

I vote not clean and sober. Did ya'll see that True Hollywood Story about the Osbourns show they had on MTV? Tis sad really.

Oh be sure to put some aloe on baldies head.

Why do you want to eat in the dark joonie? I could if I had to I guess, if I was put in a dark creepy basement. Or a restuarant that only uses candles snf you have to feel for you food. I hate that ! Not romantic at all. But I do look better by candlelight

Oh, I had hubby make me a panny cake and was having to eat it by the light of the livingroom, because the dining room light blew this morning and well I was not about to climb on top of the dining room table to replace the light. No one home to throw me dollar bills for the table dance

Joonie did you get to start your Humira yet?
No, I got 2 days still of antibiotics left. I suck at taking meds, that is why I refuse to take BC pills. *shrugs shoulders* But I would still have to wait until a Saturday, just easier to get remembered to get jabbed by hubby if he is home all day putting up with me and the kids... LOL!!!

My hands are hot and so are my feet, I think they have inflammation in them. My hands are hard to move and my feet look really really "fat". They have been like this for the last couple of nights makes it hard to sleep when you feel like your hands and feet are burning up. I am sure it is inflammation. As it goes away within a few hours of taking my pred.

Okay guys, I'm off to bed.  Catch you tomorrow.  Naughty nite, Karen

Good night Karen/ sleep tight and dont let the bed bugs bite!

Ouch.... now my neck and back hurt it made me jump and jerk a funky way.

Sheesh will ya tell him to grow up already!!! Temper pemper

Well, looks like everyone's gone to bed!!   I'm just home from my RNZAF Massed Bands Proms concert, and it was just awesome!!

As I said earlier today, you youngsters do NOT have the monopoly on loud music - I think it was invented by Brass Bands!!

The concert was packed, and playing all the great and well known marches and Military music, a few lesser known things, and of course, the second half with balloons,  flags and whistles - audience participation in Pomp & Circumstance March- Land of Hope & Glory, and Rule Britannia - great fun stuff.   And even some little kids pulled up from the audience to conduct the massed bands.  Very British, but then we are part of the Commonwealth after all.

My favourites - Dambusters March - then Highland Cathedral (with the pipes as well) and good old Colonel Bogey.  And that's just a few.

Not everybody's cup of tea, but a great afternoon's entertainment.
The conductor was really cute -tall, dark & handsome and a great little butt!!

WAKEY WAKEY!!!  Its only 9.47 here in "not so sunny" Cornwall.

How Rude!!!you have all gone to bed

The holiday weather has taken a  nose dive and its cold, wet and windy. Not so good when you are staying a beachfront location

Good thread Katie, sorry Justin isnt well though.

Glad to see everyones is as mad as ever

Everyone here is so cool I didn't want to just go without saying ANYTHING, but I also know my whole thought process borders on the insane, so I also didn't want to explain it.  So I just said thanks and goodbye.

But now I want back in,(I miss you guys

Linda

Linncn, you were the first person here to make me feel welcome, so I welcome you back with full honor restored!!!!!!!

I have those thoughts every week when I have to inject MXT.  Why, why, why?  I don't act them out, I just quietly keep them inside my head, so I understand how you feel.  I just took 18 pills this morning and realized that I feel better than I've felt in several years.  So instead of cursing each of the little buggers I blessed them.

Anyway, glad to see you back with us.  Lindy

Glad you decided to come back to us. WOOHOO Linda SO GLAD YOUR BACK!!Hey hey! Take it to todays chat thread!!!

   BULLY

I am GLAD you decided to come back

((((((((((((((Linda))))))))))))))))

You are not alone on the rebelling on take the meds thing. I do not want to take all the meds I was RXed either. And last night I rebelled and did not take any meds and not even my pred. I woke up hurting and to my surprise able to move a bit better than I would have figured not having pred in me. But I still look like a cripple. So, bad so MIL got tired of looking at my dining room floor with a couple of papers and all, she swept for me

I am soooo glad you are back!
