Hi everyone...I know I have been MIA for a bit and sorry about that.  I just haven't had the energy to be up and posting.  Hi to all the new people on the board.  Sorry you did have to find us, but you will get a lot of support here from very wonderful people.

I hope this posting finds everyone well.  If you are not doing so well, I do hope that you get better soon!!!!

Well, I finally made in to the rheumy this afternoon.  My RA of course is very active right now so it was a good time to go lol.  I will be starting Remicade as soon as the doc office has the clearance from our insurance company to start it.  You know how it goes, they have to make sure it is "medically necessary" (to which I say DUH otherwise I wouldn't be getting infusions lol) before I can start.  So we are looking at sometime within the next couple of weeks that I will get my first infusion.  My RD did tell the person who handles all the insurance crud to "expedite this to the insurance company because I prefer her to start this week".  Yeah, that is how bad it is.  I did talk to him about AP therapy.  I also talked to our PCP about it.  I am not a good candidate for it and it is just not a good course of treatment for me.  If, I had been able to see my current RD when I was diagnosed all those years ago, he may have considered it IF it was an infection that started the whole RA thing.  He does not think in my case it was an infection due to the fact that just about my entire maternal side of the family is affected with RA.  He strongly believes I am one of the few with a genetic connection to RA.  So, that throws that option out the window for me.  I have not been sleeping well due to the pain I am in so he did give me Ambien for that.  I am also back on the dreaded pred.  YUCK!

Danielle is doing well with the exception of flaring with the weather.  Danny has finally been cleared to return to work!!  He is on an FMLA day today since the trip to the doc office has literally wiped me out.  I love our truck but BoUnCy!!!!  Never thought a ride in a car could hurt so much!!  But at least he took me thru a few puddles lol.  The weather should be clearing here on Friday.  There has been widespread flooding throughout WI, but so far we have not been flooded anywhere near our house.  My backyard does look like a mini Lake Michigan tho lol.

I am outta here.  Sitting here is not conducive to my current reality lol.  Loves yas all and please be well!!

Well dang. I've been wondering where you've been. I'm sorry you've been having such a bad time. Must be something in the air cause it's going around. I hope you feel better soon and I especially hope the Remicade works for you!! Let's ope that the Remicade is just the thing to make you better and that you get it sooner than later.  Glad to hear you husband and daughter are feeling better.  Get well and come back soon

Love yas too Hi Liz- from my holiday in the rain

Lisa

You guys forgot the rule! Only one of you can be sick or feel yucky at a time. I'm glad Danny is back to work, is he still feeling wrung out? I hope your remicade is approved quickly so you can get to feeling better sooner rather than later. Please give Danielle a hug from me and I'm sending you hugs and good wishes too!

He is doing pretty well.  He said he didn't know how late he was going to stay tonight since it really is very humid here today.  We are expecting some storms later this evening and hopefully that will drop the humidity a little bit.  I sent him off to work with his rescue inhaler just in case.

Danielle is a little under the weather today.  But then again, with all the rain and humidity we have been having it is to be expected.  She had her MRI of her wrist on Friday and we should have the results on Thursday.  I actually have a CD copy of it but have no clue what I am looking at lol.  It does seem that some of the lines that should be clearly defined are not and there seems to be a lot of fluid in her wrist.  We will see what the doc says.  Maybe I can find a pic of a normal MRI of the wrist online and compare them.

I'm pretty wiped out.  I said half hour ago I was going to sign out and nap and just haven't gotten there yet lol.  I was answering posts lol.  Now I am really going to get outta here.  Now that the warden is back to work I am hoping to get online a little bit more.  Just depends on how I feel.

I went from enbrel to remicade and found the change a big help. Now I've gone from remicade to humira and finding this chage a big help. Good luck on your change of meds.

I wish that when we find something that works that it would continue to work.
