I've been doing alot of reading since I've found you all.  I've made an appt. for Friday -I have a list of questions going and have a copy of the test to see how much inflamation you have.  I've Ra for 30 years - up and down - I just thought I had to deal with it. I took Gold Shots for 27 years and did pretty much okay - But I'm getting older and falling apart more than ever.  ALOT of Stress but who doesn't

What are your goals at this appointment?  What questions do you already have?

I agree with buckeye.  Let them do the Rxing.

What is the thing that bugs you the most about your current status??  What will it take to change it?

My biggest thing is the lack of sleep because of pain.  I did ok for a while and now I am back to the pain, and pacing all night.

Don't forget to tell them about any supplements you are taking.  Do they help, and what is the max you can take?

Do you have visible damage and how long has it been since you had xrays?

Ask him what his feelings about biologics are, and study up on the ones you like or don't like.  YOu may not have much choice, but study up.  For my particular arthritis Embrel is not used, so when Humira failed I am going straight to Remicade, and if that fails I am out of luck.  These are things you need to ask.

Good luck at your appointment. I agree with Buckeye and Shelly. My brain doesn't seem to be working very well right now and I can't think of anything to add. Except, when you DO think of things to ask, write them down as they come. If you're like me, you forget your telephone number.
