Where are you guys? It's not the same without you two joking around and giving uplifting advice! Please post back.

I hope not.  I was just new during the time period that is in question, so I know nothing about it and I don't really want to.  My opinion of Joonie is that she is funny, friendly, supportive, and a blast to talk to.  I'm not about to change my thinking because someone said she was mean.  Or whatever it was she's supposed to be.  That isn't my experience with Joonie at all.

Me neither. Joonie is sweet and nice. Anyone has a breaking point too. If someone pushed me too far and insulted me I might pounce back at the insulter as well.

Joonie is my sweetie and so is Katie

Where are they anyway?? Little nerd Joonie is probably still chasing all her "alters"  around the drs parking lot

No don't take it personal Chris, but I just hope she's ok. Maybe she needs some time to deal with something and be will back later on.

You're right Moana. At least I have my Star Trek! Plus my wife and kids came to see me today.   I didn't get my Joonie laugh today.  I hope her doctor's appt. went well.  LindyI am here! Sorta! Last night I had to ride out to work with Justin, cause he went downhill kinda fast. The little virus he had sent him into a flare, so we took him to the ER early this morning. He's on pred(as usual) and with his first dose was already up and around begging for food. OH NO!! Im sorry Justin wasnt doing well.  Is he on ins yet?  i know im bein nosey (sorry Justin) but is he seeing a dr regularly?  You been posting alot lately that he hasnt been feeling well maybe he needs new meds?? Though im not sure what all involved with that.  Hope he gets better though and hope YOU get better too, hope your neck gets to feelin good tooYeah, he's on insurance and NEEDS TO BOOK HIMSELF A FRIGGIN APPT. (which now he's been scared into doing - HAH!) But really he's been doing so well, this boost of pred will probably get him back to being fine 98% of the time. either way, he DOES need to be seeing someone regularly.

Hi Katydid, poor thing, you sound worn outLin - My first shot at seeing an RD was early this year when I got my ins. She was a little nutso, but she did give me Flexeril and Mobic, and we concluded that my shoulder problems were coming from my neck. Nice to know, but it is still an issue. Mobic tears my stomach up, and my RD pretty much thinks I'm "fine" So that didn't sit well with me. All of the RDs in my area are a little over an hour away so that makes it even more difficult, and getting an appt takes FOREVER. I have a new RD, and I see her on the 27th for the first time. I've heard good things about her, and I hope she'll take me seriously. I HAVE been doing better, but I know this isn't good enough. I'm one of those people who NEVER swells or hurts in the doctors office, too. So that doesn't help!  Ok, but you've had JRA since birth, or near, right?  People don't just get over that do they?  So if the doc knows you have it, it seems awfully crazy to do nothing except trying tomake your shoulders better.

I am here, I did not get back home until after 8. So, I do not know how I could have signed off AIM at 6:45

Oh and thanks for all the nice things ya'll have said about me Yeah I think she was the kind of doctor that if you don't see it, it doesn't exist. I told her that my labs have always been negative, but I don't think she understood that ALL OF THEM come out negative. When I swell, even the test for SWELLING comes out negative. So just because you can't see swelling, I don't believe that it's not there. Why else would I hurt, unless I have swelling inside or something? But that's my opinion, I'm not the doc...............so that's why I found a new doc.

Yeah well wait til you get better and we'll go back to our same ole hateful selvesLOL yes, that was *really* it. We were both smashed, and passed out. Sorry! Next time maybe we'll invite you....... OK Katie & Justin - hope you both get back on form really soon.

Kiwilass239315.8222685185Thanks. You guys have no idea how good this thread made me feel.

My Lexapro is honestly making me feel a little nutso, and I'm NOT digging it at the moment. I'm gonna ride it out another week, because this is only week 2, and I think it needs a little longer. Anyway, for now, I feel really unbalanced. Bleh. So thanks for lifting my spirits!!!
Katie glad Justin feels better... hope the pred helps him get over this hump.Katie, I didn't realize Justin has RA too.  Is he a JRAer ?  Not that I'm glad he has it of course, but it's cool that you two know what the other is going through.  No, he has Chrons. There are some very similar treatments for Chrons and RA, with them both being inflammatory diseases. Katie - Has Justin ever been on Remicade? I have a friend who's son has Chrons and he's been on Remicade for about 3 years. It's literally given him his life back.Yes, but sadly it stopped working for him. We're hoping his new doc will be pro-humira, since it was just FDA approved for Chrons in Feb of this year. It's been used for a while for it, but now it's easier to justify! I didn't know Humira was approved for Chrons! I would think Justin should have no problem qualifying for it, especially since he failed Remicade.I knew he had Chron's, and that is some kind of digestive disorder(?)  Is it an auto immune disease? It is, yes. He's had it pretty bad too. He's had a small bowel resection and some of this colon and stomach removed. Last year was a nightmare as he went through having pancriatitis(sp) and just a very bad flare in general. It finally got under control around August 06 - so he's been doing GREAT for a full year now - UNMEDICATED. Which is amazing. But now that he finally has insurance, it's high time he gets on some thing, just in case!
Katie, I was just thinking about him getting on Humira last night but I didnt want to expose to many details of what I do know that is wrong w/ Justin before you said it.  didnt think youd care but didnt want to just in case ya know.  Has he ever been on Mtx also?  My uncle has Chron disease and he is on Mtx its funny cause we share stories and he also asked his dr about liver biopsies for me cause my RD would always shrug it off.  I hope this new dr really treats Justin and make him feel better.  You two deserve to BOTH be not sick once in a while.  Espically with everything going on w/ his mom (how is she by the way) you guys need a break from being sick.
