I'm starting a new diet tomorrow.  It was created and researched at the University of Kentucky.  Very similair to NutriSystem diet.  It's a replacement diet.  I'll do a protein shake and fruit at breakfast, a protein shake mid morning, a frozen replacement dinner, veggies that I cook at lunch, and the same for dinner and a fruit for a snack.

Anyone want to join me.  You can do your own diet but it would be nice to have a couple of weigh loss buddies for support.

Lindy

I have been slowly but surely cutting out carbs again.  I don't think I could do it cold turkey like I did three years ago.  I will go with ya Lindy.

I have 60 lbs to lose, and I don't care if it takes all year, but I am determined to lose all 60.

Hi Michelle, Ok tomorrows the day.  I'm going to post my weight and weight loss.

Good luck to us!!

Hey have you guys ever heard of sparkpeople.com? It's what I was using for a while to lose weight. It's neat because it has a food tracker, and it works REALLY well. The site is INCREDIBLY overwhelming, but I really just used the food tracker. I don't use it anymore, but it helped me get into the swing of proper eating. My issue wasn't that I was eating too much, I actually wasn't eating ENOUGH, and I also had no concept of what kind of nutrition I was getting from my food. With the tracker, it told me what was in all the things I ate. I have a MUCH better idea of what it takes to eat healthy, and I continue to slowly and safely lose weight. Wow, I sound like I'm trying to sell something..........LOL Sorry!!

Ok, Lindy I am back and will get started.  Being at MIL's did not help, and no way I could do anything consistantly.  So, I am finally back and ready.

How much have you lost?? Let me know, so I can throw you a party.

Hi Michelle, Welcome back. I'm down to 194 and really feel great on the diet.  I need to post my loss. Was at the pool or arthritis exercises everyday till yesterday and I had an excision of basal cell cancer and skin graft on my nose.   Exercising is out for a few days and then we leave Tues. for a week away.  Will be hard to diet then because where we're headed has some really wonderful Mexican restaurants. It's so hard because I'm still on 13mg. of Pred. and have cravings.  As soon as I can taper to 7.5 mg I'll really start losing at a faster rate.

Am trying to get a patch of P cleared on my leg.  It's being very persistent.  I may call my RD next week for laser treatment.  He does it in his office.  See if that helps.  Take care and lets keep this diet thing going.  Lindy
