Well, I picked up my meds today. And I am confused about if I am tapering or if it is like a boost to help me until I go back to see her.
It states on the bottle.
Take 6 tablets each morning for 3 days;
Then take 5 tablets daily for 3 days;
Then take 4 tablets daily for 3 days;
Then take 3 tablets daily for 3 days;
Then take 3 tablest daily for 3 days;
Then one daily thereafter.
I thought I was to be weaning off the 5mg of prednisone? Doesn't it sound like I am to continue taking it and not stop taking it?
I am confused. I guess I will have to call tomorrow to find out if I am tapering or if she just gave me a little boost until I get to go back to her.
Yeah - it sounds like you stay at one pills daily forever after that. I'd definitely give a jingle to see what she says. Sending lots of hugs!

She made a mistake. She wrote it up as a standard boost/taper(like you had a flare) and forgot she was taking you off. Call her.Jen

She either didn't explain herself well, or she made a mistake with the RX. Maybe she want's to keep you on the Pred. until you start Remicade?? Either way, definitely give her a call.Thanks for the reply guys. I could have swore she said she wanted me to taper off before I started Remicaid.
I read the directions, in dr lingo, and I do not remember it saying to continue taking it.
Oh well... I am going to call tomorrow. Maybe they will get back to me in a timely manner.
