Meaning of lab test results site here!! | Arthritis Information

To all who asked:  When you want to inquire about the MEANING of your lab test results - below is the lab test site that is a volunteer site run by professionals - you type in your questions on your lab/blood work results or questions and they email you back personally discussing your situation. I love it!

I had one particular problem with a test result years ago on my CRP or SED and I was grateful for the return information provided.  Also there is another site on MEDLINE that works in conjunction with this site which tells all about your blood work tests, what they mean, high/low ranges, etc. After all, we are our own unofficial doctors.  Sometimes, my rheumatologist just brushes off my questions on "out of range" test results. Maybe to HIM it's not important, but it is to  ME!

I see people who do not even know what they are taking or why they are taking it. I always request a copy of my blood work results to be sent to me. You have to tell the doctor that  when he makes out 'script for it.   Good to check past ranges and get baselines.

Take care

Joanne
