Morning everyone!!!  Well the rain FINALLY subsided in IL today...though that doesnt mean it wont rain today.  We are soposed to get light rain today which is MUCH better then the crap we had yesteday.  It totally scared the crap outta Kelsay.  Im going to talk to Kelsay's principal today and see about getting a bus waiver for her.  I think id be alright if it was just a straight shot but i have hills i gotta go up both ways

Hey Chris...Check in w/ us buddy, I ready about your 6 percs last night and Im worried bout ya.

The Des Plaines river and the Fox River are misbehaving here in the northern 'burbs!  Gurnee, Antioch, Fox Lake, Russell... yikes!  Sand bag central!  I almost went to Gurnee yesterday to help fill sandbags but by the time I got done with my "important" work at work, it had started raining again.  Luckily it looks like they had enough volunteers.

We've got a bit of water in the basement, but nothing to fret about.  Our back yard is a SWAMP!!!

We have a mini Lake Michigan in our back yard.  I just peeked at the Doppler and we have more rain coming!!!  This has to end soon or I am going to start building an Ark!!!

Everything is going to be soggy for Danny's company picnic on Sunday.  Yech.

I am so jealous that most everyone has started school already!!!  We do not start til the 4th!!!  2 different schools...2 different time schedules...ugh!!!  The 504 meeting for Danielle is coming up next week too.  Shouldn't be an issue tho.  I have everything I need for it.  I hope.  Now just have to get back into the routine of getting up at 6am every morning.  Blech.

Good Morning Everyone, hope all is doing well this morning

Looks like many of us went through some pretty bad storms and heavy rains last night. I know we did here in NC but we desperately needed the rain. The wind, hail, and lightning was pretty scary for a while though

Well I pray ya'll have a great, pain free day today! And please pray that I won't be so lazy and get my house work done!

To all who had to weather the storms, I hear more rain in your forecast.  Don't go floating away on us

When son #2 was a little guy and we'd get a storm, he's ask with his cute raspy little voice.....Mommy, is it going to be a tomatoe morning?  only he couldn't say his "r's"?  He meant tornado warning!!!  It was so cute
Our boys start school next week.  Another year of fundraising, school board meetings and watching these little people grow more and more independent!  I've already been warned not to go overboard with the hugs on the first day of school, and the boys banned kisses last year.

Rediscovered new toy today. The pressure washer. I love the pressure washer. It's my best friend. I've cleaned everything that would take the pressure. Painted sidewalk looks new
Grammaskittles, what's a 504 meeting?

It's a sunny, hotter than an oven day here in PHX!  I hope the rain calms for all of you in the rainy areas.  Hoping it subsides soon and dries out a bit.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.  Take care everyone!

Hugs,

Jen

LOL!!  Jasmine, that's so funny.  There used to be a game called Melvin that my son (same one) loved.  The tv commercial had a song that went ....Melvin, it's a wacky kind of race.  I used to crack up hearing my son's version,  he'd sing it just like this :  Mayozin, it's a wooky kinda wace?   It's probably funnier if you could hear it *yawn* I just got up. It's already hot as blazes out. Ick. Can we have some of y'alls rain please??????

A 504 Plan is for kids that need some special accommodations in school.  It protects them against such things as truancy if their medical condition causes them to miss more than the normal days of school, allows Phys. Ed. accommodations, more time between classes, allows them to do their assignments if they have problems writing by doing them mainly on the computer or doing oral reports, allows them a certified notetaker provided by the district for any note taking, it allows the kids to get the notes from their teacher instead of struggling with writing all the notes they have to take, allows for busing of a student if that student is not normally bussed, it allows for extra time for written tests to be completed, allows for extra time for certain assignments, etc.  The 504 Plan is written by the parents and the school counselors and disrtibuted to all of the students teachers.  I will also call all her teachers and give them a heads up on her condition.

The nice thing is that since the JRA really affects Danielle's hands and she does better typing than she does writing, she will be given a word processor by the district to do her work on that the teachers just dock to a docking station and download all her work.  She will also be given 2 sets of books...one for at school and one for at home so she does not have to carry heavy books back and forth to school.

We did try to get her into a highly recommended home school program but we were too late.  In the state of WI if you want your child to attend school out of their district, you have to enroll them in that district in Feb. during open enrollment.  So, next year we will do the home schooling thing for her. She is already thinking of contiuing it thru high school so she can get out early and get some college credits before enlisting in the Navy.  Well...hopefully her JRA will still allow her to enlist.

LOL Jasmine...I have all girls and they banned hugs and kisses a long time ago too.  They are now 12 and 15 and I am lucky to squeeze in have a good day if I drop them at school with no eye rolling from them lol.  It is hard to see our little ones grow so quickly.  But, the goal really is to shape them into functioning, law abiding, giving, socially concious, hard working adults.  Trust me, they will still run for mom when they are adults and come across something that they can't quite handle yet lol.

Good Morning everyone.  I watched the news last night and was thinking and worrying about all of you.  Crazy, rainy weather.  We've had no rain, a few drops of moisture but nothing else.  Triple digits for over 2 months, every day with no relief.  The hottest it's been has been 117 degrees.  The average this past week has been about 105 degrees.  Too hot to do anything but run from air conditioning to air conditioning.  That's my daily rant.

Monk, I had this visual of a crazy lady, running around the neighborhood pressure washing everything in sight including the neighbor's cat!!!

I feel great this morning and hope that it lasts.  Another lazy day but I do have a boat load of laundry.

Am off to get some breakfast.  Lindy

Good morning everyone,

Well, sunny and in the 90's today here in New Bedford, Mass.  I thought we may have rain because it looked awful this morning but it's now sunny, bright and hot.  I live fairly close to the ocean so Isabel and I may spend some time in the backyard later.  We were up and out of the house by 8:30 am because we had an appointment with WIC.  They gave me some new coupons for the Farmer's market for fresh fruit and veggies.  Very excited about that because we eat a ton of them and they can get expensive.

Speaking of funny things our kids say, Isabel calls the supermarket the stupid market.  She cracks me up.  And a singer!  OMG!  She runs around the house with things in her hand pretending they're microphones.  She belts out one of her favorite Hannah Montana songs almost the whole day.  Her daddy bought her the CD for her birthday.

Right now I'm resting.  Shannon, I know what you mean about hills.  I'm sitting here waiting for my feet to stop throbbing because I had to walk up a hill to get to the WIC office.  I hope you can get a bus waiver for Kelsay.

Hope everyone has a good day!  And pain free also!

Hugs to all,

Steph

Hello folks,

Sitting here paying bills (UGH) and thought I would pop in and see how you are all doing.

Everyone here is pumped up about Halloween and plans are well underway for our 15th and final haunted house.  For the final one, we are inviting everyone who ever worked at our haunted houses to come back - We're calling them Halloween Alumni, LOL.  We have been racking our brain, trying to remember all of our voluteers who have helped us pull this off over the years - We are now up to a list of 70 people!!!

We've drawn up our design plans and now hubby (and many others) have to start building.  His weekends are all planned now for the next 2 months!  I heard a noise in the driveway this morning at 6:30 and he was out there measuring to get ready for the build.

So look out, I now have spooking on the brain!

Hill....I didn't know you did that!  How many haunted houses do you do??

Grammaskittles, that (504) sounds like an excellent program!  I'm sure it helps Danielle to reach her potential despite her RA.  Good for her, and all the others that benefit from such a program.

Jennifer, glad Lily is feeling better. Those antibitotics should be kicking in any time now!!

Katie, I have (just for you) redirected the rain that is coming our way even now, to head south toward the panhandle.  Anything else I can do?

I hope the antibiotics kick in and start working for dear Lily. I got strep every year growing up and it's miserable, so I really feel for her.

Gramma, I'm sure if you pushed the issue about home schooling, they will work with you. I fought for years to get son the help he needed and I ALWAYS got what I wanted, it just took a good bit of fighting. I called for a meeting weekly with the district and school staff until I got my way. It is our right to get their needs met. On a different note, how are the two of you doing?

many many hugs to all

Deb

Grammskittles, do you need special permission to home school in WI?  Come across the lake to MI, there are zero regulations for home schoolers here.
Grammskittles, do you need special permission to home school in WI?  Come across the lake to MI, there are zero regulations for home schoolers here.
Same way in Illinois.  It is almost completely unregulated... and you can also do a mixed curriculum - some stuff at home, some stuff (like science lab, perhaps) at the public school.  They also have to allow you to use their special ed/occupational therapy services.

Hi All!

Hope you're having a great day.  Deb...congrat's on not having a lot of pain today, enjoy!  Hill...I'm scared already!  Who do you do this for?

ARGGGGGGGG Im soooo aggravated right now.  So i have a drs appt at 4:15 and a friend of mine is sopsed to be here at 3:30 to take me since i have no car and she just NOW im's me saying she cant make it.  And i have no phone to call anyone to see if someone else can take me.  Why do people have to do this at the last freakin minute????Well, Shannon, if you give me the number, I can at least call the doc and let them know that you won't be inIm gonna stop my cross the street and use the phone at 7-11 before i pick up Kelsay and call my dad.  This is just sooo frustrating.  If he cant ill PM you. K...I'll watch for it.. hope you don't have to miss

Hello, from sunny Seattle???  I think somewhere in the dictionary that would be an oxymoron.

Well, I don't think being at MIL for FIL funeral agrees with me.  My pain and swelling are up by 50% which is to say I am pretty much miserable.  Also, there must be some stress, because I have an outbreak of psoriasis.  I just want to GO HOME.

Hubby will be driving his dad's truck home, so it will be me and the kids on the airplane back.  Still have memorial service tomorrow at 1pm, and burial on Monday at 11am.  I guess we will have dinner at MIL Church tomorrow, and a picnic at MIL's house on Monday.  I will get to have lunch with my mom on Sunday afternoon after going to Church with MIL.  Tuesday at 6am we leave for Cheyenne.  I will try to check once a day.  Hopefully will get some time for this.

He He I do have a way of scaring folk.  It's been carefully developed over the years!

We live in a quiet rural community, and were disappointed when we moved in to learn that very few kids went out trick-or-treating.  We sat here with a few decorations and lots of candy, and only a handful of people showed up.

That's why we started doing our haunted house.  It has become bigger and bigger over the years, and we now have about 300 people come through each year. People are now standing in line for 45 min. just to get in!   Each year we come up with a theme, and create "sets" which follow that theme, with staged "jumps" throughout!

When they enter they are greeted by a guide, and taken through the different rooms experiencing wild things all along their way.  In the last room we finish up with some sort of scare where they get their candy, and then they exit onto a swinging bridge and find themselves outside among the creepy things out there!

It takes a lot of work, we need at least 20 volunteers each year to pull it off, and we are exhausted by the end of it all.   After we "shut down" all the volunteers come up to our livingroom and and we give them pizza and tons of candy (cause they didn't get to trick-or-treat) and we all laugh and talk about the different people that came through and how we made them scream. Everyone is also given a t-shirt with our "logo" on it and the year. It is absolutely a blast!

My hubby and I have decided this is our last year, because our youngest is graduating from high school in June, and this is a good stopping point.  We have a barn, attic, and basement chock full of Halloween props, sets, masks, costumes, smoke machines, black lights and much much more.  We have promised our kids we will keep all of it, so that someday they can have their own haunted houses with their kids.

Our haunted house runs only on Halloween, and we do not charge for folks to go through.  It has been our gift to our community, which in turn has been an amazing precious gift to us, filled with many, many memories!

I hope that some of the folks who have visited us over the years, or who have worked at the haunted house will someday approach their spouses and say, "You want to do something fun for Halloween, how about we do a haunted house".  Then it will go full circle.

Sorry to write a novel, LOL.  As you can tell, I'm a bit emotional about this being the last year!
Well my dad is able to bring me.  Thankfully too cause it wouldve been forever had I had to reschedule it. UGGG people make me mad

This morning we went with MIL to town. So... I was not dressed when she got here, and I had to ask her to help pull my jeans up as my fingers were too swelled and stiff to do it myself. It hurt to even pull up my under-roos. Yeah... I did take the 6 tables of pred this morning like it stated on the bottle, around 9:30am and it just now is helping me with my stiffness and swelling.

It was all I could do to walk around behind MIL in wal-mart this afternoon. I was stiff legged walking folks were looking at me like I was a zombie or something. My face was all red from the pain and aggravation of walking around stiff. Who ever said to get up and move around when you are stiff and swelled were just plain CRAZY and I think enjoyed pain... or they were on pain pills and outta their mind

Oh RD has not gotten around to answering all of her messages from yesterday. So, I should hear something back before the day is out, at least I hope. The receptionist said I was #4 on the list of unanswered messages, and that there is a request to fax my blood work to me, but they have not received my bloodwork back yet or it has not been documented as being received yet. So, they will fax it to me when they get it, I guess.

I know they are unorganized, but her listening and actually talking about doing something more for me really does out weigh long waiting and their disorganization. Yep... at least she will probably remember what she talked about doing with me on my next visit
. I was sweating so bad I had sweat running down my chest and down my belly and this was in air conditioned Wal-Mart!
Joonie that happens to me too in air conditioned places.  Even here at home w/ our little dinky window air conditionair and when its only in the low 70's im still so freakin hot.  I wonder if thats an RA thing or if its something else.  Any takers on that?

I do not normally sweat while in wal-mart, unless I go when I am stiff, swelled and in pain. That is the only time I sweat in wal-mart. Once I sat down on the bench waiting on MIL to check out, I stopped sweating. It is probably that my BP is up from the pain and all. I know MIL kept asking me if I was alright while I was walking around behind her. I think she thought I was going to pass out.

yeah, glad the pred is kicking in for me too. Not much pain right now. and swelling is going down in my fingers. I can type, now. I logged on this morning and could not even type. My post was like a few sentances long and took me 10 mins to peck it out ... I was a pecker this morning

RA Sucks! Did anyone ever tell ya'll that?

#1 we don't get enough exercise

#2 The medicine some of us take cause us to sweat profusly. For example= my methadone makes me sweat like mad. So does the pred. Just an observation. Narcotics in general=sweat.

GOTTA RUN!!! Be back at 8:00PM est

cskalski39318.577025463

Hey Chris you scared the crap out of us last night with that jibberish you were posting

Glad you got to spend some time with the wifey and kids. Hope you had a nice time.

Well, my RD's office called me back, and said no, I am not taper yet. She just gave me something to help with my swelling and inflammation, until I go back to her and until I get Humira going again. But they do not know why my pharmacy only gave me 75 pred pills and not 100 like written. and why the pharmacy gave me 3 refills when I was to get none.

Anyways... I am on a pred flare taper and to stay on 5mg until I go back to see her.

And they will fax me my lab results when they get them in. She was not sure if they got mine back or not, she had to go to the LabCorp computer to see and then if they are in she will fax it to me.

I hope they got it in it has been 3 days now, and my RD was talking about if my blood was in the pickup box before 5pm she would get my results back by the next day.

Did you find out if the blood tests included whatever the one for Lupus is?

Hey Link thanks for that rain but...........where is it????

I'm at work and it's kinda um....blah, as usual. Haha but that's okay by me!!!!!!

I keep thinking about that poor boy that died last week. I did not know him, but I keep thinking about him.

Joonie, yeah, it's something that sad happens, it sticks around.

LOL It actually looks like it might rain..........COME ON RAIN!! >.<

We got a little sprinkle about 20 mins ago. Did not even know it was coming this time because the pred kicked in

Well, I am off to wal-mart again to buy groceries. Will be back later.

Ya'll behave now.... ya hear?! Do not make me, make hubby take his belt off to give me to me to whip all you that misbehave.

Fridays and Saturdays are when I work with MrGrumpyPants aka McFats-alot. *sigh* He's the only co-worker that I can't STAND working with. :( I just try to pretend he's NOT here. LOL Sorry you had a rough night with Lily.  Those anti biotics should kick in real soon and she will be back to her old self in no time!!

I am not going to push the issue for the home schooling.  Danielle is ok with the fact (finally) that she has to go to public school this year.  If she was super upset then I would try to push it.  I'm sure I could find a different program for her, but I have never done this before and this program comes highly recommended so I am comfortable sticking with this program.

Shannon...glad you made it to the doc appointment and wooohooo that you fit into that pair of jeans!!

Oh man my pain pills can make me sweat.  Chris...danny takes methadone for his hip pain (10mg 2-3 times a day) and it gives him really weird dreams and makes him all twitchy when sleeps.  Does that happen to you?  For being a relatively mild narcotic it works very well for him and would like to keep him on it.  He gave me on once instead of a percocet and it worked really well for me.  I might change from percocet to methadone.  But whew I sweated like a bubbler from it.  It was worse than with percocet or oxycontin.

I don't want another rainy night either.  I'm sick of the rain.  The girls are tired of wiping the dogs feet everytime they come in from taking him out too.

Joonie...don't they have the electric scooters at your walmart?  I love those things and use them whenever we go anywhere that has them.  I love to honk the horn at people that will not get out of the way when I am zipping around on one lol.

Katie.....I'm trying to share, but you won't take it. Well I'm not sharing my rain, we need all we can get. Ya'll are "rain hogs"

It hasn't rained yet, but boy does it want to. It's cooled off a little bit at least. So it's like.....102, instead of 112.........hahahahahaha

I'm handing it to you.  Take it.

We are having a storm here now in Sunny Orlando with some cracking Thunder and Lightning !!!!!

See Katie.....I'm passing it your way. It's in Orlando.

OMG I am the BIGGEST idiot!!! My appt wasnt untill the 30th not today...UGGGGGG so yea all that stressing out for absolulty nothing

hehehehehehe....good one Shannon

Cracks me up Shannon!!! I did the same thing Tuesday

So when IS your appt?

It's not until MONDAY. I'm so far off.

Link, Orlando is just a *tad* south of us. Your aim needs work....LOL

My appt isn't untill the 30th, had the right time, just the wrong day

Ok I am annoyed with myself. I hate to buy tampons, as they cost too much and I have a hard time using them because of my finger, so I am kinda anti-tampon... right? I got a coupon with my free sample I got, for a off. So I was saving it for when I had to go buy some more. So, I went today to buy some more, and did not remember I had that off coupon until I got home and seen it laying on my dresser. So... I could have paid .07 instead of .07 for tampons!

It is muggy out and kinda still hot, and it is raining. It makes my skin sticky. I hate being sticky, but not as much as I HATE being HOT!

LOL Poor Joonie. You need some of this overcast weather. I'll send it your way!!! Oh oh you gotta read my post, then one about my RA Blog. Just do it. lol

Good evening everyone

How are you?

 Hey Karen where ya been??

Here there and everywhere.

So what did I miss since I last posted?

Not a whole lot. Except Link won't share her rain. She's stingey(sp)

Karen has not been on the board today until now?! *surprised look*

Yeah Karen... what's the deal?! I have been on here even when all I could do was peck at the keyboard with a middle finger.

Yeah I was giving everyone the bird while I was pecking out my first post today.

Oh so no one else was upset about me having to pay a more for tampons?! People!! It was a !!!!

Maybe a post about religion if I can get Katie and Linda going

No I'm kidding but it's been interesting so far.

Oh and Joonie had to buy tampons and is mad cause she had to pay full price

Joonie, dig around in the sofa, I bet you can come up with a dollar in change. Then you can spend it on GUMBALLS. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Yeah that much I did see.  Joone talking tampons again!  LOL

Joonie has very little, if any, shame.

But we love her that way!!!

OH!! OH!! OH!! I feel soo much better. I feel happy for some reason. And this is even after walking around in wal-mart for almost an hour and I did not even hurt until like the last 10 mins, and that was my left ankle got stiff from me being on it too long. And that is probably caused by the rain we are getting.

I feel much better, but thinking bout taking a robaxin for my neck I feel a back of the head headache coming on from the muscles being tense again.

Yep... 30mg of pred will make someone's day happier

I loved your haunted house post, thought I posted but maybe not.

Anyways I wish I could see it, I love going in haunted houses. We always have a couple round here every year. Some are really scary and some are a little silly but I like them both

I saw my mommy today. Her and her friend stopped by to visit for a few mins and brought me some pizza. Yeah... I told her about me taking a darvocet and robaxin yesterday and how it made me feel better, and they both said that was good and if I feel like I need to take them again to take them if it takes my pain away and helps me to not be so grouchy.

Karen, yeah your haunted house sounds like lotsa fun! Sorry to hear it will be the last year for it. I have been to a couple of haunted houses, but I am not one to run. I do not run, I just walk and the person with the chainsaw will run pass me to the ones running in front of me

The toughest year to know what to do was right after 9/11.  That was tough, cause the mood of everyone was off.  I almost cancelled, and we had one of our biggest crowds ever.  We had a dummy of Bin Laden with a missle in it's butt that said Greetings from the USA, and a tombstone that said BIN LADEN - REST IN PEACES.  LOL

Hillhoney39318.7381134259

HEY YA GOT A PIC OF THE MISSLE IN BIN LADEN'S BOOTAY? HUBBY WOULD LIKE THAT ONE!

sorry for all caps... I guess you can say I was yelling

Cute cute cute  Karen. I would have loved that

I know what ya mean about running Joonie, they just have to get me is all I'm sayin

I forgot to tell ya'll about this woman in wal-mart that hubby pointed out to me. She was STALKING on someone. I mean not like Stalking because she liked someone. She was stalking like she was stalking a boyfriend that was with another girl!

Hubby said she was looking thru the shoe racks at someone and then when I caght up to hubby he pointed her out hiding behind the Lays display and then she would move down to another display and move stuff around so she can see to the other side. And then she like walked REAL FAST with a like "Oh HELL NO" look on her face and then we lost track of her. Then we saw her a few mins later walking out the door but she was still stalking who ever it was she was watching.

I am telling you we were waiting from a good smack down of whores in the middle of wal-mart! But none that we saw....

Hubby said that is not the first time he has seen this woman in there, but she is not normally stalking someone when he sees her. So that is why he noticed her stalking someone.

LMBO JOONIE, RA and stalking is not a good marriage, darn poptarts!

Yeah I told Hubby about how poptarts were like roaches, that they would survive a nuclear bomb, and that we could probably build a bomb shelter outta them and survive the blast. Then he was talking about he would eat the poptarts because they would be toasty. I then said "toasty and full of radiation?!" He said well yeah.... ok maybe not.

Joonie, the person you saw wasn't "stalking" anyone. She is security. All Wal-Marts hire a few plain clothes security, they are called "Loss Prevention" Their job is to walk around Wal-Mart all day, acting like normal customers, and keep an eye out for shop lifters. Our store has 3, and I know all three of them from when I worked there. They are VERY good at their job, and use all kinds of tactics to follow people who have shop lifted, or apear to be shop lifting.

This is also why your hubby has seen her at Wal-Mart before!!

OH MY GOSH now I am losin it

I am telling you she looked like she was stalking a boyfriend that was cheating on her. She had that look.

Ohhhhhh

Well. Then it was a crazy stalker girl!!

Come to think of it Joonie is probably on a first name basis with everyone in Wal-Mart. She's their best customer!

My daughter she knows the names of all the people greeters and most of the cashiers. Oh and she knows Tony in the paint department. She makes us walk pass the paint department when she is with us just so she can yell "Hey Tony!" and then Tony does not even know who she is.

I love it when daughter walks pass a wal-mart worker and she says "Hey    Insert Name Here!" and the look at her like "Who the hell are you?!" and then they ask her "How do you know my name?" And she will say you nametag. LMAO!!!! It is a classic!

Yeah, we know Kelli, Miranda, Kimbri, Carl, Tony, Ester, Donna, Dawn, and a couple of others I cannot think of their name, but know them by their face.

That hillarious Joonie. Did you know these people before they worked at wal-mart?

*sings*

Winnie the pooh... winnie the pooh... tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff. He's winnie the pooh, winnie the pooh.... willy, nilly, silly old bear.

Deep in the 100 acre wood where Christopher Robin likes to play there is an enchanted forest ... blah... blah... blah.... I cannot remember how it goes.

winnie the pooh doesnt know what to do

got a honey jar stuck on his nose

He came to me asking help and advice ....

Wow Joonie needs to stay on these meds forever.....

She's PSYCHO. But in a cool way..

Carl I know him from the church I use to attend with MIL, but since stopped attending that church.

And Kimbri, well.... me & daughter did not know hubby use to work with her husband. But now we know!

And Tony... well we met him in the paint department getting paint 2 days in a row

And Dawn... well FIL would ALWAYS have to check out in her line when he was in there... he liked how she looked

I am just happy she did not like Barney. Gag me with a spoon LMAO I stole that from "someone" and it is just tooo darn funny I am laughing at myself for using it LMAO!!! This is for you Joonie

WITH A GREAT BIG HUG

AND A KISS FROM ME TO YOOOOUUU

WON'T YOU SAY YOU LOVE ME TOOOOOOOOO????

Barney sucks Big Purple Cojones!!! *thinks on that one* LOL My cousin used to LOVE Barney. And when I taught daycare, I couldn't really complain about him........he taught me a lot of neat songs that I could sing to the kids to keep them entertained.

if all the rain drops

were lemon drops and gum drops,

oh what a rain that would be

I'd stand outside with my mouth open wide........

one, two, three, four five, once I caught a fish alive

six seven eight nine ten, then I let him go again

why did I let him go

because he bit my finger so

thats all I remember

AH ah ah ah ah ah ah

If all the raindrops were lemon drops and gum drops

Oh what a rain that would be!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

If all the snowflakes were candy bars and milk shakes,

Oh what a snow that would be

Standing outside with my mouth open wide...

arriscolwell39318.8165856482shall I go on???

EWWW!!! *covers ears and sings*

One, two, Freddy's coming for you...Three, four, better lock your door...Five, six, grab your crucifix...Seven, eight, gonna stay up late...Nine, ten, never sleep again.

Now that is my kinda song

Boom Boom a'int it great to be CRRAZZZYYY

Giddy and foolish all day long

Boom Boom a'int it great to be crazy!

Oh and there's -

Sally the Camel had 5 humps....Sally the camel had 5 humps

Sally the Camel had 5 humps so ride Sally ride,

Boom boom boom....

Sally the Camel had 4 humps....

Oh did I tell ya'll that MIL said that there was a "spirit" in the house I live in now? Did I? I cannot remember? My daughter is 2 and still loves Barney.  We have the barney sing along dvd so Linn, I know exactly which song you're singing.  And was singing along with you only in my head though because just got Isabel to sleep like 10 minutes ago.  She's been having some trouble sleeping in her room.  I think she may be afraid of the dark now.  I read that 2 is when the imagination works overtime and they can get fears so time to buy a night light.

Uh Huh, you know it.

You know what I thought of when I heard that song when I heard it when I took daughter to daycare about 4 years ago? The Sally the camel song?

I just kept saying Sally has a camel toe with 5 toes. And hubby laughed and asked me what I was talking about and I told him it was the new and improved "Sally the camel" song off of Barney.

Like Camel-Toe Annie off Conan O'Brian!!

LOL ya'll I had to take a phone call amd missed all the singing, darn!

Oh Joonie the song is Christopher Robin by Kenny Loggins

  My little EMMA is sick

TeleTubbies? Yeah the sun with the baby giggling in it is kinda scarey to me.

Yeah... I asked MIL today if she ever seen a "ghost" in her bedroom, which is now our bedroom, and she said no, but she knows there is a "spirit" in the house. She said a little while after they first moved in this house that she was laying in the livingroom floor, on her belly watching tv, and someone slapped her on her butt and she turned around to yell at FIL and he was not there and she went to check on him, and he was sound asleep.

I told her about what the markings on his chest were, but I still cannot figure out what the large red circle on his tummy area is.

My friend's daughter was OBSESSED with the Wiggles.

Fruit Salad - Yummy yummy...

FRUIT SALAD! YUMMY YUMMY!

*rolls eyes*

Ohh - The Teletubbies - forgot about them - I didn't go much on them - but that's probably because they were in my 12 yr gap between my grandchildren.  LOL

Oh I hope you little Emma gets well again quickly Mona.  Poor little lass. God Bless!!

Oh when I was preggo with son, I was obsessed with the wiggle's song Fruit Salad and Hot Potatoe. SOOOOOOO Obsessed that hubby downloaded it for me and we played it in the car everytime I got in the car. I would even randomly play it at home and blar it loud to where it shook the trailer walls. Yeah... I was that obsessed with it.

And now, I could really careless to hear them 2 songs

joonie what markings are you talking about?

MO...did you say a bladder STRETCH?  What is the point of that?  Yow.  Poor Emma.  Hope she gets out of it somehoew.

Actually Linda theres another name for it but I cant member, they go in and stretch the ureta(sp) tube that is clogged with so many infections that antibiotics cant get rid of it all. Simple procedure but has to be put to sleep

When we were going to my RD appointment Tuesday. I was not thinking about my "ghost" and outta the blue... It came to me... the markings I saw on his chest, well one of them anyways, was like autopsy stitching. You know the Y they make to take out the organs? Except is what stitched up. But there was still a BIG scarry like red circle where his belly was.

Awww... sorry to hear about Emma, Mo'Nana. I hope it makes her feel better. Oh, Mona, that poor little thing.  That just sounds awful.Ok, someone is going to have to rescue either my golden retriever or my daughter.  She has again left her make up where he can get it and he has chewed pink blush up all over my living room carpet.Ummm... maybe ground daughter from blush and she will get the picture not to leave for the dog to eat?

Sounds like you had a visitor Joonie *cold chills*. I bet it was a sign of something. An omen? premonition?j/k

I'm sure it was your meds. Man you should hear some of the dreams my sister had after she had surgery and was on a ventilator. She thought she saw the devil and talked to him. Scared her to death. Ant flipped us all out too. She was pitiful!

Mona- I am so sad for Emma.  That has to be awful.  Poor little thing!  I hope they can resolve this quickly for her.

Ok, Steph ya talked me into it. They're both goin down.

Linn- glad I could help.

Hope that blush will come out Linda, dont blame the dog

I think she was thinking that is was my brother I never met that got shot in the stomach and died. Because she wanted me to describe the red circle on his tummy area, and I just could tell her it was a large red circle. And then she was curious as to what name it called me by... my first or middle name... and I told her June. And she just looked like she was thinking.

I just remembered that a few mins ago, that I had another brother who died, that I never met.

Been at work all day and just signed on...sorry to hear about Emma, Mona.  :(

Now I have for real cold chills. This was obviously very real to you wasn't it? And disturbing. Tell again your exact dream, do you mind?

Thanks Brisen good to see ya

And all I could say to hubby was "He is at the foot of the bed!!" repeatedly and when hubby turned on the light it went away and all I saw standing there was hubby.

I do not really believe in "ghosts" but I sure do seem to see a lot of them.

Wow hon I know that was scary. I know people say dreams can seem like real life. I dont usually have nightmares. But I cant explain this one. I think some things are meant to be a mystery

 Have you seen them before?

Take care everyone,

Hugs,

Steph

Nite Steph!

I had that "dream", still refuse to call it a dream, the 3rd or 4th night I took Amitriptylin.

I have seen my Uncle Pete. I saw him one night about a week after he died. I was wide awake. And I left outta my room to go get a drink of water out of the kitchen. I turned the hallway light on, and half way down the I saw my Uncle Pete, the crazy one who said he was going to haunt us, at the end of the hall. I screamed took off running to my mom's room. when I got in there I could not talk and she said my face was white. She had to slap me to snap me out of it. Then I told her what I saw and she walked down the hall with me and he was gone.

Then a couple of years later when we moved to Alabama, we were living with my sister and her family. Her husband would open the door to our bedroom to see if we were still sleeping when he woke up and got ready to make breakfast.

Well, one morning, the door opened and as usual I would roll over to say no I did not want breakfast, and there was my Uncle Pete again, he was saying "Where's my coffee!" and the door was left open and I could see him walking to the fridge. He would open it look in it, and turn around and look at me and say "Where's my coffee." Then he would come back to my door and say "Where's my coffee." Then he walked back like he was going to go back to the fridge and instead he walked over to the sink looked in it and turned and looked at me and said "Where's my coffee." in a little more meaner tone, and it freaked me out, so I hide under my covers and fell back to sleep.

My mom was sleeping in the same room with me and she said she heard the door open and thought I went to the bathroom.

joonie39318.8607175926I have a friend that also has the 'gift' of seeing dead relatives, particularly her mother. It always happens when she's either sleeping or resting, but she SWEARS she's not dreaming. One time a picture of her mother that she keeps in the living room was sitting on her night stand when she woke up after one of her 'episodes'. So bizaare.Don't we have a couple of ghostbusters on here??  Be interesting to see their take on all these sightings!! GOODNIGHT EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!I don't know if anyone missed me, but I'M BACK!!

We need to come up a "pet" name for Katie. For some reason when I type Katie I usually type it out as kaite. Yeah one finger seems to hit the keys faster than the others.... to make that typo.

I already weighed in on Joonie's scary man at the end of the bed.  I think it was a combo of her meds, and the fact that she was stuck in between her awake state and sleep state.

My daughter and son both had night terrors.  It was the most bizarre thing to experience as a young mother.  There eyes would be open, they could answer questions, they seemed awake.  But they were seeing things that weren't there!  My daughter thought all the monsters from Where the Wild Things Are were walking through the walls in our hallway.  Another time she thought there was a witch living under her bed, and she was looking right at it, and then looking at me like can't you see that?

I have seen dead relatives and a friend who crossed over.  It does happen, but it isn't scary like what Joonie described.  They were there because of love, and you could feel it.  I have heard my Dad's voice, and I have felt him grasp and squeeze my hand.  It was a very spiritual experience, and I was really excited to have had it, and wanted more!

Ghosts do exist too, and that is different.  The only "ghost" I have actually seen was just a dark cloudy shadow that crossed in front of me, and seemed to be unaware of me.

Hillhoney39318.9003009259Well, I hope he does not visit me again. I frequently have weird "visions" upon awakening since I've started taking Zoloft.  I will see a big nasty bug walking up the wall (about 6" long) or I will have an extra hand, or there will be someone in the room.  It goes away after several seconds (that seem like hours).  Just plain freaky.
Well I'm going to bed otherwise the benadryl will kick in, I will get a bigger buzz and I will post silly crap all night long.

'Night all!
Nite, sleep tight!
