Morning everyone!

I thought it would be nice to start the day off with something that your kids did when they were little that was funny that you remember most.

I say this because I want to share my story of my daughter.

Well... when my daughter was about 4 years old, she would sneak my pantyliners and put them on her lower back. I noticed she had something white on her lower back and I asked her what it was and she called it a "back pad".

I tried really hard to keep her from putting them on her back and tried to explain they were not for the back, but she said it made her back feel better.

One day... we were walking into wal-mart and her shirt came up, and yes... there it was... one of my pantyliners on her lower back

She went all thru wal-mart with a "back pad" on her lower back and when we got home I showed her just where her "back pad" was really meant to go. Then she got the picture. And has not messed with them since.LOL Joonie, GO TO BED!! Well, I just thought about it when I was putting them away, and daughter was in the bathroom and I asked her if she remembered when they were "back pads". and her face got red and she said "YES" really stern

Hope yall have a wonderful day!

Good Morning!

Costco sells drugs?  Mine doesn't..  :(

Morning Ya'll! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Cute story Joonie.

Yea, it's a big soupy mess here in northern Illinois!  The kids and I are supposed to go to the church today to assemble welcome bags for the new school families, but my oldest son is sick so we will be staying home.  He's so odd sometimes - he gets angry when he gets sick.  He's mad at the viruses that have invaded his body and ruined his weekend.  So far, he's got a fever, sore throat and snotty nose (and a BAD attitude!!!).  I asked him if he had a headache - he hollered that there was nothing wrong with his "headbone". LOLOL Joonie - I remember when my sister and I were little we disassembled an entire box of Mom's tampons.  We could NOT figure out what they were! This happened just yesterday - we ate out last night, and afterwards my girls threw pennies in a fountain there and made wishes. At bedtime, my 4 yr. old old confided to me in a loud, excited whisper - "Mommy, I think maybe my wish came true! I think I AM a real princess!".

I think she is, too LOL.Debrakay yea i thought all costco had pharmacies in them. I guess not.  I LOVE them though.  My Mtx when i was taking the pills were only when they were almost at walgreens.  Its awesome.  they also have a mail-away type pharmacy

Jasmine, I hope your son's headbone feels better soon

Back Pads!!! LMAO

Good morning all. We got our daughter to college and everything went well. I have not been on to much as my wife has been home and we try and spend quality time together when we see each other. Next month her job will take her to D.C. fo a month

I am sure I missed some good belly laughs but it can't be helped. I hope everyone has a good weekend!

Jay

When my son was lttle, maybe 3 or 4, he had just been introduced to stickers, the lick'em and stick'em kind.  Well, all was quiet in the family room (as every mom knows, quiet needs to be checked out immediatlly) so I go to see what's up.  There's Patrick, happily holding the cat up against the wall, saying "Mommy, I'm sticking Kitty".  Sure enough, the poor cat is wet on one side of her body, and Patrick has cat hair stuck to his chin.!!Hey Jay, we missed ya

Hope no one got rained out or flooded.  I watched the news and thought about all of you.  Be careful.

Not much on my agenda today.  Off to Wal Mart to get RX and do some laundry.  We're going to start sorting and packing up some boxes this weekend to take to storage.  We want to be out of the rental house by Oct. 1 and back in our RV traveleing

Hope everyones day is blissful.  Lindy

I noticed that at least 2 of you are from Illinois.  I am in Missouri and have a son and his family in Chicago.  That looked like a nasty storm this week.

I have 3 grown sons who were very active and have enough stories about them to embarass them all.  Hard to pick one.

My youngest son, John, is now a computer engineer ( geek).  When he was around 3, he would run through the house in his Superman pajamas and a towel as a cape.  One time he ran smack into a doorjam with his head- hard.   He picked himself up and said, ' Superman feels no pain' and continued on saving the universe.  He had a nasty bruise.

My kids were raised on farm and could figure out numerous ways to injure themselves, as they were all fearless.  Glad those days are over!!!

Lynne

ZoeJoy- That superman story was great!  Yea the storms this past week SUCKED!!!!! THats the midwest for you.  Ive been trying to think of something funny that Kelsay has said and im drawing a blank right now.  Well, yesterday while we were waiting for the bus after my nonexistant drs appt, I applogized to her for messing it up.  and she goes.."its ok mommy, I wouldnt have has fun at the drs anyway" lol nothing good like the "back pad" story from Joonie.  She does call my bra "eyeballs"  My little brother on the other hand OMG I have stories about him.  He is going to HATE me when he gets older and starts to date
Suzanne, Jasmine, Joonie

Jasmine, I hope your son's headbone feels better soon
LOL - he's feeling much better now.  The ibuprofen has started working, and I ran out to the store to get some cough drops, juice and ice cream.
Good Mom......your making it fun to be sick These stories are very cute.  The only one I can come up with for Isabel is when her uncle Todd leaves to go home she runs around the house calling him.  Then comes back to me with a very serious face and tells me "I lost Uncle Todd".Kelsays'mommy's story reminds me of the time I heard lots of laughter coming from the bathroom, went to investigate and it was my son and his cousin, standing either side of the toilet on their tippytoes playing what they told me "making X for Xylophone with our wees"!! Well, I have had a good moring, I got alot done around the house (sort of),AND got to read these funny kid stories!  But now I'm off to work.  Have a good one, everybody. omg LMAO Those stories were GREAT.  Katie, your song lyrics are pretty funny!  Whe Kelsay was learning talk she would say sh*t for sit, well when we were out by my grandparents one holiday in Ohio my grandma just thought that was the funniest thing in the world and kept making her say it and would just laugh.
OHHH i thought of an even better one.  Kelsay went to Ohio for Easter this past year with my dad and my great aunt anna marie was down from PA and Kelsay was trying to get her to put a polly pocket dress on one of her dolls and she said to Kelsay Aunt Mi Mi eyes dont work to good anymore.  And Kelsay says all inocently, "Aunt Mi Mi, your ears dont work very well either"

Well, I live in Central IL and was at my son's football game last night when the skies opened up. We have been lucky all week the storms were up north but my ra thought they were here. My son's team name is "Sangamon Valley Storm". Boy did it storm, I was soaked. We won 26-6. Good game, slippin' n sliding.

My story is about my son Jeremy when he was about 4. He's 14 now. He has the most beautiful red hair color and used to and still does get lots of comments about his red hair. We used to joke about it. My hubby has red hair, so does lots other family members. Well.....we would go somewhere and someone would say "where did you get that beautiful red hair". I guess he got tired of everyone asking....so one day when a little old lady asked him, he replied, (very ticked off) "I didn't get it from the mailman, or the fed ex man, or the Schwann's man, I got it from my dad, OK LADY!!" I was so embarrassed all I could do was laugh. The funny thing is....all those men had red hair too. But really everyone.....he got it from his dad. LOL

LOL CinDee!!  When my daughter was little, we were driving along and she was going on all outraged about the "catapiller leavers"  and how they were littering.  I was racking my brain trying to figure this out when it occured to me.  She meant litter bugs. Catapiller was the bug part, and they were "leaving" trash around.

Awwww.... Suzane I hope your daughter wish comes true.

I love reading these stories. My daughter does/did a lot of silly things when she was smaller, but most of what she does now, is not that cute, but on occassions she does something cute.

I have always woke my daughter up like this every morning "Princess Dallas, Princess Dallas the new day has arrived! It's time to wake up,. Princess Dallas, Princess Dallas it's time to get up". In this silly little British voice. It's kind of silly but she loves it even at age 13!

I'm at work, trying to google the pair of shoes I just bought, so I can post a pic on the other thread...hehehe

Well, google a binturong.  Give ya something to do.

I KNOW, I KNOW!!! Well, I think I know.

Didn't you say a binturong is the same thing as an ant eater???

NO...not even related.  I probably said a Tamandua is also called an anteater.  Cuz I know we were taliking about anteaters before.

If you do google binturong, they don't smell like popcorn.

OK, OK...I just googled it and I'm totally wrong!

Nice try though, eh?

OMG This is like homework. You're evil.......

Quite nice, I'm impressed

Katie, I will be looking for your new shoes pic

Aw they look like my old kitty, Gucci..........he was a "neighborhood cat" he had a few owners. We were one of them!

I didn't read anything about them smelling like popcorn, but thought that was reather disgusting.

Yeah, but they weigh about 40-50 pounds. Ew. They make it sound like they don't cook them.

They're SUPER cute slip ons that Wal-Mart had. I just thought they were neat, but when I tried them on, I didn't want to take them off!! They had army print, tan, blue, red, black, and black and white. I got the black and white ones. They're No Boundaries brand so it's really hard to find them online. It's like....the crap brand of wally world.

I'm done google searching my new shoes. I can't find them. When I wear them, I'll take a pic. They're just adorable.

LOL, you're not fooling ME!!  HA! I know EXACTLY what you meant!!

I am SO mad at myself. I forgot to put extra Lexapro pills in my purse, and I forgot to take it at home.........so when I open my pill case to take it here at work, NOTHING. Because I'm an idiot.

ARGH. No wonder I'm so sleepy!!! Lexapro makes me happy and energetic. :( I just feel like a slug today.

Can you take it when you get home or will it keep you awake all night??

Yeah, and it's a once daily pill, it stays working for a good 12-13 hours that I can tell. So it's way to late to take it today. I don't get off work until 11pm *sigh* Oh well. I'll take it tomorrow! BAH! I just hate feeling this "ick" You don't realize sometimes how much one little pill helps you, until you forget to take it.

I had hopes that it would help my aches and pains, and it HAS, quite a bit. But yeah..I'm feelin it today. :(

Sorry Katie! :(

I know all too well that "ick" feeling and is SUCKS! I take Cymbalta, and it's also supposed to 'help' with the aches and pains. I'm not sure if it does or not, but I've NEVER missed a day taking it...afraid to find out!

Most of them do help with aches and pains, because it makes your sensors work right. They don't get overloaded with the "DAMNIT" feeling.

MAN I love my technical terms!!!!!

See, I can talk technical too!

Justin and I bought a HUGE pack of those glow-in-the-dark stars, and stuck them all over our ceiling and walls. We have a black light in the corner of the room, to serve a few purposes - 1. It's the calmest color nightlight you will EVER have, and I get up to pee alot, so that's a big deal.... 2. I can see what the cats are currently getting into trouble with.. and 3. it's nice when you're...erm..."having fun"

ANYWAY The stars are AMAZING to fall asleep under. I always have a hard time getting my mind to just STOP so I can sleep. I've always had to find something specific to focus on. I HAVE to have music, classical or piano, something calm. And then I usually find myself staring at something on the wall. Well now I have these really pretty stars to stare at.

I zonked out in RECORD time last night. It was amazing. I just had to share!! So what if they're for kids, they serve a WONDERFUL purpose in my house!!

Bed or Beg...Katie works for her shoes!  LOLDamn skippy. I don't have 2 closets and a large tub of shoes full for NOTHING!

We want to get a colored back and scatter them around too. It was just SO peaceful.

And yes Jay, I PROUDLY display my shoe whore-dom.Oh, and clothes, make-up, and all the other 'girlie' stuff!
I guess that's another girl gene I'm missing.  Never was a shoe/purse/jewelry/shopping freak.   I don't even like chick flicks.  What's wrong with me?????
Great minds think alike.  I can't stand chick flicks either.  I live in jeans, t-shirts and the widest, most comfortable shoes I can find.  Instead of an engagement ring I wanted an engagement computer (well, computer components actually so I could build a custom rig).

I am not a big jewlery person. I think because I become VERY OCD about what I'm wearing, and I just can't handle that kind of obsession. The only thing I wear is my cross necklace that Justin got me. I have some girly bangles that I wear if we're going out or something, but not on a daily basis.

I've already talked to Justin about my wedding ring. With my hands the way they are, we're going to get one that can be adjusted if needed, and I'm going to get a chain that matches it, so I can have it around my neck if my fingers hurt. I've seriously considered getting a ring tattoo after we're married. He says he'd like one too. :)

I like the idea about getting a chain that matches, but I don't know about the ring tattoo. What IF something happened long time down the road and you two split up??? Talk about a never-ending reminder!

I would totally just add to the tattoo. I already thought of that

Hehehehehe BUT NOTHING WILL EVER HAPPEN TO US!!!! (yeah yeah say it....I'm young and nieve(sp)

Yes you are and I am sooooooo jealous

I was 23 when I got married and I've been married to the same man for 24 years. I'm not trying to be cynical when I talk about love being finite, but long term marriages are just sooooooo rare in this day and age!I'm with you Linda! Katie TOTALLY looked like how I pictured her, but Mona looked NOTHING like I thought! I really pictured Mona as a brunette!LMAO You mean Neela??????? That is so not what I imagined for Jas. I'm not really sure what I picture for her. My images changes, because I see Jas as SUCH an amazing multifaceted person. I've never tried to picture you Link, I just can't imagine. I'm terrible at this kinda stuff!!!! I picture Link as a tall, shoulder length hair brunette. But I'm wrong 99% of the time!  LOL
Is it just me, or do you guys have a pic in your mind of what everybody looks like?  I always wonder how close I am to what the actual person looks like.  I saw your pic Katie, and you looked just like how I pictured you.  Mona looked nothing like I pictured her. I wonder why your brain comes up with the images it does.  I always think Jasmine looks like that english doc on ER, the one that went out with the black doctor??  ( I can't remember their names now, haven't seen it in a while.
I think that was Dr. Elizabeth Corday.  I don't look anything like her!  I have long, straight dark brown hair and dark brown eyes.  Although I have a Norwegian and Irish background, I look as though I have a bit of Native American or Asian in me.  When I had shorter hair, I was told I looked like Patsy Cline.
I think Jay has a mustache. And Chris is blonde and thin.

I'm tall and skinny with short blond hair and I guess just a regular looking face.

And yes, it was Dr Corday.

YOU DO LOOK LIKE NEELA THEN!!!!

I bet Jay DOES have a mustache!!

I think Nini looks hawaiianI think Shannon is tiny with longish blond hair and a fair complexion.
YOU DO LOOK LIKE NEELA THEN!!!!

I bet Jay DOES have a mustache!!
Ohh I forgot about the Indian doctor.  Yep she was with one of the black doctors that got killed off.  Nope, she's alot darker than me.  And my eyes don't look Indian, they definitely look more chinese-type asian (though it gets less pronounced as I get older).
Ah. Well, now you'll just have to show us a picture so we can stop speculating!!!

I did for many years but Mary does not care for it and well it was becoming pretty grey and I am a little vain.

I have learned enough not to guess anything about females. I am always wrong. So I try and keep it inside.

I also picture you with glasses Jay...

Okay Okay here is my picture. I do have glasses.

Wouldn't it be fun if we could all meet sometime??

See ya all later!
Well, I'm going out for the night.  Not the whole night, just part of it.  Have a blast!!

Wouldn't it be fun if we could all meet sometime??
That would be so awesome. Hawaii, Mexico???

FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because I'm broke...........LOL You know.........if y'all were really game for it, I might could set something up here at the hotel, and get us discounts and stuff. The BEST time of year to do it would totally be off season though. Like between the end of September and the end of Febuary. Just thought I'd plant that idea seed there....

LOL That would be so awesome!!!

Let me bribe you some more www.destin.embassysuites.com

Come on, we're around the corner from the nations LARGEST DESIGNER OUTLET. And for the guys, we have like, DOZENS of Golf Courses that are some of the highest rated in FL, within 5 miles of us. The beach is RIGHT across the street. Our chef is AMAZING, and you'd get breakfast EVERY DAY and FREE DRINKS at night.

Please?!?!?!

All I have to do is tell my Sweetie there is unlimited golf and he'll be game. Can you get some specials on golf and other activities, through the hotel? Sorry, was that rude? I'm always looking for deals...that way we get to travel more often.

Anyway, sounds like bunches of fun!

There you go Karen!

Yeah we get package deals with a local golf course. It's not very close though.

It really would be a blast to see you guys! Nini, don't worry about hurrican season, it'd be cheaper and easier to plan something like this in the slow season, which is after hurricane season.

I'm thinkin' January sounds good...after the holidays.

Now don't everyone expect it to be nice here in the winter. The panhandle is pretty far up, and it gets down in the 40s in the winter. Sometimes it even freezes!!!

And now everyone north of me is LAUGHING their ass off.

Again, only problem is...I get EXTREMLY sick on an airplane. I rarely, if EVER fly! The last time I did, I got so sick, so suddenly, I didn't have time to grab the barf bag. Instead, I grabbed my purse and puked in in. TOTALLY gross!!

Miami is WAAAAYYY in south FL. I'm in the panhandle. Opposite sides of the state! 10-12 hr drive or so?

I just looked at a map of Florida and you really are at the opposite ends of the state! Oh well, I'm too damn old for a tattoo anyway!! LOLBrisen, there's a new TV show on about a California tattoo artist - and it's a woman!   Maybe you're closer to a tattoo than you think, and we might get to see you on TV, LOL!Yeah that's Kat. I think she started on Miami Ink. Her show's not doin' too hot, from what I hear.Yes! Kat Von D! She worked for Miami Ink for about a year, but left because she missed LA. Now LA is only about a 30 minute ride for me, but I'd MUCH rather have Ami or Chris Nunez tattoo me!!

Yeah it's not *that* pretty.

We just have some REALLY GOOD photographers.

No Karen, Justin now wants to go to Universal Studios. Which is fine by me! Cheaper, too.

Universal Studios in LA??? Hey, you definitely need to look me up!Brinsen you're looking at travel time between 5 and 9 hours, depending on the flight. That's not too bad really.LoL No, in Orlando!Disney World in Florida has both wheelchairs and thos ride on scooter things.  So, it's possible to go without walking it if it was something you really wanted to do.  Plus, you get to go to the front, I believe.

Put 'em up against the Detroit Lions.  No stress for you in a match like that Well...it would be great if I could schedule the teams and games we play against. lol  Who is their stiffest competition?

Haha stiffest!! LMAO!! Good one!

Reminds me of myself this afternoon because I did not wake up this morning to take my pred, and ended up taking it about 3:45pm OPPS!

Feeling better now?I haven't seen mona around at all today.  Wonder what she's up to.  Hope it's fun, whatever she's doing.  Well, probably sleeping now.Themselves!!! lol  Hard to say this season...we have a new coach and some new players. But hopefully tonight is NOT what we have in store.

Yeah I feel a good as I am going to get with PMSing and on 30mg of pred.

See, I start something and make hubby finish it. It just always ends up that way, as there is usually something within the task I am trying to accomplish that involves me not being able to do, and with washing clothes it is lifting the bottles of detergent to pour into the washer, or me not being able to get the clothes outta the washer as my elbows do not extend all the way out, and I am too short.

If I win the Lotto I will be flying into Florida in February.

Whee --  Flying Into Florida --- sounds great!!
Hey Joonie, have ever thought of buying the big containers of laundry detergent that have the tap?  Then you can just hold the cup under it and push a button.   I buy Liquid Tide that way at Wally World!Oh thats what I buy, those big jugs. But I get Wisk. Hehehehehe

Is anyone even awake right now???
I think Shannon is tiny with longish blond hair and a fair complexion.
Ok so your kinda right.  Im not tiny (5'6" and well yea) but i have longish length hair (halfway down by back) its brown w/ some blond and I have a fair complexion

Hey Katie, what would be the closest airport to you?  I have points that I can turn into miles and I wanna see how many miles I would need.  UGGG the decisions the decisions.  Flordia in Feb or DC in Feb for the Arthritis Convention thingy UGGGGG
