Is there anybody out there having to wear ankle-foot orthotics, have locking knees, waiting for surgeries, meds not working consistently ie pain killers etc. I'm just tired of all of this is anybody else in this kind of mood? Yep, definitely. Waiting for Rixtuan, constantly in pain, everything swollen...blah, house a mess and can't clean it, things keep breaking down...this morning required a new car battery, exhausted from constant fatigue, barely coping with my daughter and completely sick of the whole struggle. Oh, yeah, I relate.  Ditto. Waiting for AP and/or Orencia to kick in. I need bilateral knee replacements and another ankle fusion on my left foot. I'm SO over all of this!I'm waiting to have a triple arthrodesis on my left foot, but before i can get that done I have to have another arthroscope done on my right knee( I need a knee replacement but the surgeon said that will have to wait so he's gonna see if he can remove some more cartilage so that my knee doesn't keep locking so bad)oh yeah and to add insult to injury my left knee is now locking up and my rheumy wants me to get him to take a look at that one too. I say I'm waiting cause I was on a waiting list to see the surgeon for 1 1/2years, saw him and now I've been referred to another surgeon in the practice and am being "fast tracked" they call it.I've now been on that waiting list for an appointment for 4 1/2 months and counting!!!!!!!!!!! No I have no reason to stress out!LOL Geez, hammerstein, enough is enough isn't it. For some reason everything with RA concerns waiting...waiting for meds to work, waiting for appointments, waiting for surgery...more bloody waiting.

Your waiting list for operations sound horrible. I feel for you. That's what they call 'fast tracking' is it? What meds are you currently on Ham? You've had RA a long time haven't you? What has been your treatment from the early years through today?I'm on Methotrexate, Plaquenil, Surgam, Surmontil, Folic Acid, Iron, Calcium, and various strong pain meds that I have to take regularly otherwise I can't function too well because of the pain. I don't mean to make light of your pain... but when I first glanced at your post (I can't find my glasses, and I'm a bit out of it today) I thought it said ankle-foot bracelets - you know, like the kind they put on criminals under house-arrest?

I am glad that you're not under house-arrest, I'm with ya. I'm on my second med in 2 weeks (first visit to RD) and neither is working. Think he'll fire me if I call first thing Monday morning? He won't fire you.  He'll try and fix it. Yeah, you need to call Deb. Isn't it sucky when meds aren't working. This process is so all trial and error.
