Hello,
My name is Cathy.  I was diagnosed with both rheum and fibro in March of this year.  (although my RA test always comes back as negative, my doc says I do have RA).  I don't know which is worse...the RA or fibro.
It's a million laughs when both of them are flaring on the same day!

Hi Cathy and welcome to AI. There are a good majority of us hanging out in the Rheumatoid page or you can just click on the active topics at the top of the screen. Sorry you are here but glad you found us.

Hi Cathy  Hi Cathy...welcome!

I am very new to this board but glad I found it.

I have RA, FMS, OA, Sjorgens Syndrome and Marfan Syndrome.

I take Methotrexate & Leucovorin for the RA, Soma, Xanax, & Percoset as needed for all of the above along with a BP med for the Marfan and high blood presure.  I go to the rheumatologist every three months for a blood check to make sure my liver is okay.

I once was at the point I couldn't get out of bed without help but am  now back working my old job.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and learning new things here.

hello to you all and welcome to the board, you will get great advice from others on here, they are great with information and support.  Good luck

rose Hello to everyone. My name is Kim and have had RA for about 9 yrs. I have tried many different meds and they all failed accept the MTX was the most effective. It helped me just enough. I then got on Remacaid IV along w/ MTX and it was a miracle. I only had to be on it 3 times and it went into remission. THank you Jesus!!! That stuff is a miracle!! Also, Thank god I work at Mayo clinic in the doctor's office that treats me. What a blessing. Hope to get to know you all! God bless.

Hi Cathy, I'm Dottie, and I'v had Fibromyalgia for over 25 years, and 3 months ago I was diagnosed with RA.  What you said, sounded just like what I went through.  My old Rhumie did blood tests for RA, and they came back negative just like yours.  It took my new Rhumie to do a bunch of tests, and an MRI told her that I had RA.  You see my hubbie and I moved from Long Island N.Y. last September 13th, so I think my old Rhumie messed up big time with me, and I was going to him for over 17 years.  I'm on Methotrexate, Enbrel.  Which means I have to inject myself with a needle with the Enbrel.  My Rhumie here in PA just upped my one day a week to two days a week.  I'm going to be trying the sure click pen. We're both in a club, and one that we really don't want to belong to.  I sure hope you new med works for you.  I'm on Lyrica, Daypro, Effexor, Norco, and Perocect for the Fibromyalgia.  For me, I can't tell where the Fibro begins and the RA starts or ends.  My Rhumie can tell though, and she's wonderful.  She's young enough to be my daughter.  My thoughts and prayers are with you, and know that you can send me a post here, if you need to talk.  I just can't get over how much your case sounds like mine, so I just had to respond, and introduce myself, as I'm also new to this site.  Take care, and hope to hear from you soon.

Peace and Love to you   Dotti51
