New RD Kinda frustrating | Arthritis Information

well... I called new RD today to see if I have an appt to be seen again, as they told me to call this week to see when my next appt is. So.... I was on hold for 5 mins and then they told me no that she had not signed the papers to be sent off for approval for my Remicade. And that they will call me when they make me an appt.

I asked about my labs and the lady said she does not know anything about labs and she will make a note of it on the computer for someone to call me when my labs have been received.

Yeah... something somewhere always falls apart. Nice RD, but so unorganized. *tsk, tsk, tsk*

Well, at least I still have my Humira to take if for some reason it is going to take longer than my pred flare taper. That is kinda a bright side

 Hey Joonie

Good luck on getting your lab results and Remicade approval.

It will be a week tomorrow on labs and I've heard nothing so far

Thank goodness you have the Humira just in case!

Yep, that is what I am sayin. She just seems to be too busy and have way too many patients. More than likely she is getting my old RD's patients, as he SUCKS!

Oh well.... maybe things will get better.

Yeah I let my dr. know how displeased I am not being able to get an appt with him except my standing 6mos appt. Way too busy with too many patients.

I've called his office 3 times in the past month or so to get in for various reasons, like my leg pain and a sore throat, only to be told to go to the ER. My deductible to ER is a flat 0.00, payable upfront! I told him that I could not do that, and did I need to find another Dr who has time to see his patients for such a time as this. He apologized and said things were changing, new Dr coming in, no hospital visits, blah blah blah, we'll see!

Hope things improve for both of usJoonie, it might get better once they have established you as a regular patient too. Who knows how much stuff they have for new patients. Give some slack this time around, but keep up on them still. :)

Hey Mo.aren't there other RD's in your area?  It seems like for a lot of people they are hard to come by.  What good is a doc that can't see you?

Exactly what I say Linda! My PCP I had for years moved out of state, recommended this dr and I've been seeing him for about 2 yrs. He's a good dr but I think he took on too much when my dr left. Need or greed? I haven't decided
