Restlessness | Arthritis Information

Hi all, I'm not sure this a symptom of MPR or a downside of Pred. I find it
hard to stay with anything. Not like me at all. I start something, a book, or
a walk, or knitting or a jigsaw puzzle or a letter, and very quickly I turn to
something else. Very frustrating. Have wondered if I start putting too much
energy into whatever I am doing, and my body simple quits. It's like a kind
of civil war. Anyone else experiencing something like this? I am currently
taking 15mg of pred and am hesitating from lowering the dosage.

You have all been so helpful, I am very grateful, LibethLibeth39322.6103587963Libeth,

pgrLibeth,

pgrI was sleeping like a log for ages, but nowadays I only sleep every alternate night! It's ridiculous. And I understand about the restlessness. I get that too. Chico,
you may be on too low a dose for this, but my rheumy split my dose to
mornign and night 15/5 and I sleep much better. Don't o it ourself, but you
can ask dr.
pgrThanks for the responses, hadn't thought about the pred making me ,well,
hyper. Have been feeling a little better (not quite so wretched) maybe it is
time to go from 15 pred to 14. I will be cutting down from 20 soon and know i need to but a nervous! After
a long hard week of physical work, I am back in pain for the 1st time since I
started on the pred!

I'm definitely restless at night and I know it's from the Pred but during the day it has seemed to speed me up and I'm actually able to get things done around the house now.

I have to be dead dog tired to be able to fall asleep, which means I'm up til 1 am or so, but once I do fall asleep I'm ok.  I take Lorazepam a few times a week a couple of hours before I want to go to bed, and if I do I go right to sleep.   I asked my doctor about taking some in the am and some in the pm and she said it would interfere more with sleep.  I'm not sure that's right from what I'm hearing.  Oh, well!  I'm just thankful to not be in so much pain I can't sleep.

Take care all....Kathy
