I got a card in the mail from my RD's office that says:

It was a pleasure to see you in our office. Your labs dated Aug 21, 2007 are within acceptiable limits.

Sincerely,

Dr. Massey

Awww... how nice... but where is my fax of my results?!

That's better than nothing. Pretty much means all the test they did came back normal; right? You'll probable get that every time you have labs done.

Hi, your RD's office actually sends you a card about your labs? Your lucky I don't even get that. The way it works for me is no news is good news. Ditto Mew!! If I don't get a call then I'm all clear. Otherwise I just get a call saying "we need to see you in our office" Like I'm a bad student or something.

I like her and all, but I would like to have my labs faxed to me like I asked. Maybe that is why they sent me a card, because I kept hounding them to fax my labs to me

Now, if they will just call me back with an appointment for to start Remicade, I will really be a happy camper.

Joonie, when you get your visit the vampires next time, ask them to send a copy to your home too.

Wouldn't it be alot easier for all of us since we pay all this money

out on labs to be done constantly, that just out of courtesy they

hand us a folder every visit instead of us haveing to ask for it

with are results in it. Like most people i want to know whats going

on like you i don't like to be left in the dark about my health.

that's one thing i want to check i don't want to hear opps we didn't

see that last month now we need to catch up with this problem.

hope you have a pain free night.

Good news Joonie, good labs. Me too, but I wonder why my labs are good when I still feel like sh*t!

If I want a copy of my labs sent to me I have to pay .00. I think this is Bull %%##. My dr does that same thing as CinDee's dr.  He will mail me a copy of what the results were and will right if he thinks they are acceptable or not and if I should come back in or not.  Ive been lucky though, my blood work has never come back bad, except for the Sed rate and such but that is a given (though now im steronegative).  But my liver function test has never been elevated. THANKFULLY!My great new primary of three months has called personally with every single test she orders, and her nurse says she does that will all her patients.  We then discuss over the phone the next plan, together.  Now that's the perfect way for a doctor to have clear communication with a patient.

Fortunately when you have a chronic disease and take certain meds here in Aus, they bulk bill you which means it is free.  Otherwise it would cost a fortune for blood work.

As far as hearing about the bloodwork, like others, no news is good news for me.  You only get the results when you go see the doc.

I'm the same no news is good news. However, if I paid for it I'd want the results.... speaking of which having paid for the CCP test through BUPA.... I'm still trying to track down my Rhemy for the results. Bloody cheek!

It was like a "postcard" except folded in half, with a pic of a hand xray.
