HI guys, my two boys have been sick with an upper respiratory tract infection and I thought I had escaped it, but wouldn't ya know it, just as my Rheumy applies for my RITUXIMAB, who goes and gets an infection, YEP little old me!!!  I saw my GP this am and she said it wasn't needing antibiotics yet but if it worsened over the weekend it would so she gave me a script to fill if necessary, well, its not even Sat yet and its got worse!!!!!  The last thing my Rheumy said to me yesterday was don't go getting sick as you can't have the new treatment if you have an infection!!!!!!!!!!  Oh well, I guess its my bodys way of making me rest until my space boot arrives next week for my fractured foot. Do you ever feel you just couldn't possibly get any worse and then you just do??????  Hugs Janie. Oh, poor Janie. I am so sorry this has happened when you are hanging out for the Rituximab.

Yes, I often think I couldn't get any worse and then do but I think that is something that happens with RA.

What a blow to your plans, sweetie but yep, you are probably being given a hint to rest whether you like it or not.

Get well.

Hi Jane, sure do understand this getting worse scenario.  Like Cordy says it really is an RA thing.

RA seems to bring these strings of events into our lives.  They can be phyical or outside events.   These outside events are much worse because RA has already used up so much of our body and our minds.  It's just one more incident that has to be dealt with and we don't have any left over resources to deal with it.  We've used all our resources on the last 4 events that took place.

You'll be able to start your med. as soon as you feel better.  It won't take long.  Get your antibio.  start them ASAP.   It's going to be difficult for you once you start Rituximab.  If the boys get sick you may have to stay away from them until they get better.  Your spouse, or other family members may have to jump in and take your place.

Hope you feel better this weekend, rest, plenty of fluids.  Lindy

Janie..hope you're feeling better soon!!

Janie...so sorry...I can feel your pain.

I'm so sorry that you are sick, but I'm sure it is your body just saying that you need to rest a bit.  Hope it gets kicked out of your system and FAST so you can start the new treatment!Sorry your so sick. Hope those meds work fast. How disappointing for you
