Goodmorning all.  I hope everyone slept well and are ready for a long weekend for most of us....Sorry Jay and others that are working.

Nothing much planned here today.  Just going to get as much classwork as I can done today.  I got through a lot yesterday.  Depending on how hot it is and how im feeling later I may try and get some weeding done out front.  It needs it despertly. 

Hope everyone is having a good day and is also as pain free as we all can get today!

edited to add:  OK so i just realized that I have 29 days and counting to loose weight for a wedding I have to go to on the 29th...AHHHHH I have NOTHING to wear...This is sooo gonna suck!

I am feeling better today at least mood wise...not great yet, and had the same sensation when I put my feet on the floor with the pain shooting up my legs.  I wonder if my hands could swell enough to take up the space between my fingers.  It seems they are getting shorter, but it is just an increase in swelling.  Psoriasis seems to be clearing nicely, still ichy...not as painful!

I hear the weeding, and really want to get out and tend to the flowers today as well.  I also need to clean some in the upstairs.  IDK...not worth agrevating this flare. 

The superintendent hasnt emailed me back yet.  So in the meantime I'm going to have to walk her.  Hubby said last night that depending on how his checks are these next couple weeks or so we can go get a cheap car good enough to get me back and forth to her school and such.  So we'll see what happens with that.

That would be great.  Bless his heart!  I am so glad for you.  You may like the freedom of having a small car.  I am so glad.

How are your joints doing with all of this?  I hope you are ok. 

I just took a half of vicodin, and am going to try to stretch some more today, but I think I need to sleep a little more.

Yea, I know i'll like having a car again thats for sure!  Im not going to have my heart set on getting one though till it actually happens.  Everytime I do, something comes up where it cant happen but they are really busy at work right now.  Hes been working between 60 and 70 hrs a week so his checks have been pretty decen so it might happen we'll see.  Its not gonna be anything fancy cause we cant afford the car payments right now , but as long as it gets me from point A to point B i dont care. 
OH, did you know you can buy cars on Ebay?  LOL i heard that and thought that was the most bizare thing

My precious husband informed me at 10:00 last night that my Mother-In-Law is coming up today to go to lunch with us! AAHHH!! Thanks for the warning. I like my house to be really clean before her visits; but it's not exactly gonna be today. We're tiddying up; but clean it won't be. I'm just not up for it this morning. My MIL hasn't been to our house since Thanksgiving and she lives 30 miles from here. We're not exactly close with her.

Good News on the car possiblity Shannon. Even an older used car would be great for you. Maybe you guys can just start putting back a little from each pay check and before cold weather sets in you'll be ready to buy. Good Luck! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. OH~go on the porgressive soup diet. I did that before a wedding in May and lost a good bit. All of their soups are around 100 cal. each. Their really good too.

 

Shannon~ My mom bought a car on ebay!  It was super easy and she gother dream car.  Which happens to be a toyota Privia, can't really explain that, but whatever, she has one and loves it!! On the vright side of walking two miles to scholl and back everyday, it'll help you fit inot something for the wedding!!!!

Shelly~ Glad you're doing better today and the psoriasis is healing up.  That must be a pain to have to deal with.

I laid down at 8:00PM last night to read and I fell asleep shortly thereafter.  I must have a bit of a cold... I'm sneezing, my throat hurts and I am wiped out.  I doubt it's allergies - I take zyrtec every morning (specifically for allergies) and benadryl at night (for trouble sleeping; it's also the gold standard for antihistamines).

I have to go grocery shopping and do some maintenance on our computers today, and I still haven't built the computer I was supposed to build 3 weeks ago.  And the house is a complete mess.  I think this is the weekend I create the chore assignment sheets... both boys can read now.  It's time for them to earn their keep.

I cooked hubby his favorite breakfast this morning, bacon, eggs,home fries, and toast! Pretty good too! Shelly I'm glad you feel a bit better this am

Linda a friend of hubby's bought a car on Ebay and he and his wife drove to New York and got it! Nice car but....oh well to each his own I sayOMG I had a really weird dream last night.  Like many towns in America, we have some graffiti here.  While the vandalism disgusts me, I can't help but be impressed at times with the artistic talent of some of these young criminals, and wonder what they might have grown up as had they been born into different circumstances.  Anyway, on to the dream... I was driving through the south side of town (the bad area) and as usual, there was lots of graffiti.  I didn't pay much attention to it, until I noticed a blurb spraypainted on my old high school.  I took a closer look and it was "E=MC2".  I began looking at all of the other graffiti and it was all science and math equations.  Physics, chemistry, calculus, differential equations... spraypainted all over town.

Called the surgeon yesterday about swollen lymph nodes in my neck.  Figured it was normal and they were reacting to the surgery. Had to drive into town so he could take a peek.  Everything ok just some reactive nodes to the trauma of surgery. 

Had to cancel our trip again because sutures won't be removed till Thurs.   We thought I could have them taken out on Tues. and we'd leave town right after but not till Thurs. so we've decided not to go until Oct.  This is the 3rd time we tried to get out of town.  I give up. 

Not much happening around here this weekend.  Am going to start packing up the household today.  It's only a one bedroom house and we rented it furnished.  We have a lot of our own personal stuff sitting around and everything in the kitchen is ours.  It's so easy to accumulate "stuff" even though you try not to. You can only get so much in an RV!  We're going to rent a table at the local flea market in Oct. and clean out storage before we start traveling for the year.

Ok, I took my half of vicodin and slept until 11am.  I feel better still as far as mood goes...my joints are still way out of wack and I woke up with this horrendous desire to scratch my arms. 

Thank you for all the well wishes.  I thought only a teacher would dream about E=mc2.  Gosh....that is bazare.  I had a dream about teaching a class and I was late starting a special program.  Then I went to the commissary....threw a fit because of incompetance.  Not like me, but it is a dream.

Well, here's the test...I have to visit the bathroom. Hopefully the pain does not shoot up my legs and I don't feel like I am walking on bones.

Ok, where did everyone go.  I just put on Meatloaf and potatoes for mashed.  Will make green beans and bisquits later.  We just finished dinner, grilled steaks, fresh asparagus, fresh corn on the cob......yum yum!!

 

The hood for the stoves in the kitchen broke at some point this morning. Sooooo all the smoke from them cooking (haha, no they don't BURN anything...) is bilowing into the atrium. Filling all 4 floors with nice yummy smoke.

So the fire alarm goes off. Of course, right? Which stops all the elevators and sends them to the nearest floor and makes everyone get off.

Some drunkard is back at the bar, and cusses our Manager on Duty out (who by the way, is THE NICEST PERSON WORKING HERE) then comes up here and starts yelling at me. He's known right now as "the man in the red shirt" cause he wouldn't give us a name or room number.

Before he makes it up here, I have of course already disarmed the system and canceled the call. Maintenance is in the process of resetting the elevators, it's not like we're slackers here. I'm used to this sh*t, bring it on I say.

But anyway, the lights are still flashing "do not use elevator" but they are working anyway. The man in the red shirt FLIPS OUT saying he's going to sue us for letting people use the elevator.....

 

Uh..whatever dude.

I thought he was going to fall over.

I love my job.

well my day was going all fine and dandy till hubby came home and told me right away to call my dad who is out in Ohio visiting my grandparents.  Well my grandma is back in the hospital and she had a CT done yesterday to see what the mass that is obstructing her intestine and the results came back today and it came back as cancer that is maligant.  So they went and did another CT today which I guess will determine when they do surgery.  The results will come back tomorrow on whether they will do surgery on Wednesday or Friday.  My dad says grandma is VERY emotional about it right now and he is worried bout my grandpa too.  He wont come out and say what is bothering him but my dad knows that hes upset about all this, which of course is expected. So yea that has all been w/in the last hour.  Hubby worked 13 hrs when he was only soposed to work 8...dont you just love those days? So yea i have more prayers that are needed.  Shannon, I'm so sorry.  Your family has taken a few hits over these last couple of weeks.  I will be praying fro g-ma and her doctors.  And I won't forget you and g-pa either.  Keep us informed, K?

KelsaysMom, I'm so sorry about your grandmother. It's hard when you get the info long distance. 

Katie, I had to laugh about the red shirted man......the public never ceases to amaze me with their dumbness.  I would have sent him back to the bar.  Tell him the bar tender was looking for him.  Some days are like that.

I'm home after a busy day at the bookstore, Target, and the craft and fabric store.  Got supper tonight and it wasn't a diet night.  I had smoked pork chops, collare greens with pinto beans, and sliced tomatoes. Yummy, good ole southern cooking.

I'm going to spend the evening reading and I'll start packing stuff tomorrow.

Oh Shannon...I am so sorry!  I will definitely say more prayers for you any time...any day!  Also, just think the more overtime the more freedom you...with your new wheels.

Katie, I am so sorry I wish you could video tape him and show him what an a** he is being tomorrow morning.  How is the sleeping??  I am so excited about your new car!

Relaxing day here.  Pulled a few weeds, decided screw it, sat on my fat a** on the porch and watched the boats go by.

 

Hi guys, just got home from dinner out with hubby for our anniversary! It was very romantic and sweet w/candles and prime rib...the works. He got me 1ct. (1/2 each ) diamond earrings

Shannon I am so sorry bout your grandma, hopefully she and grandpa will be ok. You sure need a break hun, I'll be praying for ya'll.

Hi Lindy! It's too darn HOT to be up to anything around here. It's 7:45 pm and the thermostat outside still reads 101 degrees. Uggggggh!Oh, and my daughter just called from Las Vegas. She said it was 119 degrees today!

Thanks Cindee ,hubby and I have been married 27 yrs. We met through a mutual frined on sort of a blind date/get together. I am 10 yrs younger but he is the love of my life

This is my first post on one of your daily chats I hope everyone is well I am having a pretty awful night full of worry and hope. My 22 year old son who just graduated college last month is in the hospital 250 mile away with pancreatitis.  How does a healthy 22 year old get this? I just want to cry or maybe scream. I have been googling it all night sometimes I wish I didn't have a computer so I wouldn't know as much as I do.  I wish I was there but that long of a drive will probably bring on another fare and school starts here on Wednesday for two of my other kids and I need to be well for them . His father my ex is driving there tomorrow morning so maybe I will hear more although he had not returned any of my calls today.  Well just typing this has made me feel a little better my mother just does not understand why I don't just go there she does not understand what that kind of trip will do to me I guess you don't understand this illness unless you have it thats what makes this board so great I can Bitch and moan and you guys will understand and I don't have to feel guilty when I need to have a pity party. Hey does any one want to come I feel the need to throw a major one coming on LOL
