As you know a few of us thought it may be nice to do some polling on different subjects. We know that the owners/managers on this site would prefer we did not do that here. I brought up the topic in a post and there has not been many people who have replied to it. We where thinking that it might be a good idea to explain what we had in mind. So I added a short synopsis of what we mean by polling, in case there are people who are not sure what polling is.
Since this is a new style of forum, it would not do any harm to this group or take away from it in anyway. It is just another area of communication.

Public-opinion polling can provide a fairly exact analysis of the distribution of opinions on almost any issue within a given population. Assuming that the proper questions are asked, polling can also reveal something about the intensity with which opinions are held, about the reasons for these opinions, and about whether or not the issues have been discussed…
