Well, I got up Saturday and tossed a few things in a bag and headed to my moms with my boys (dogs.)  Traffic was heavy but ok, took just over 2.5 hours.  Saturday Night my step dad took my mom and I out to dinner.  I went to bed around 11pm and did not get up again until 1:30 in the afternoon on Sunday!  I absolutely can not believe I slept that long!  My parents live out in the country and it was so dark and quiet, guess I needed a little extra sleep!

We spent the rest of Sunday just relaxing and visiting.  They have two dogs themselves and a huge back yard so the critters all had fun playing!

I headed back home shortly after 12:30 on Monday, wanted to hit the road before the traffic.  Got home after 3 and was really tired so napped a couple of hours until hubby got home.

When I got home, I kept smelling STINK, I could not identify the odor or exactly where it was coming from.  Even went into the attic to see if something had died up there, could not find anything.  Will called a little while ago, apparently something, a critter, might be a raccoon, had made a nest on the roof of our house, in a nook where the dormer is.  It expired some time ago and Will can't even identify it 100%.  So, he is working on cleaning that up and hopefully the smell will go away before I get home.  Ick.  I am glad I am not there to see it.  Poor critter must have been up there baking for a few days.

Over all, health wise, my biggest complaint right this second is the dizziness, probably because two days ago I went to the 5o mg in the lycria.  I had decided to stay on that one because it is supposed to help with the nerve pain and the do know that I do have neuropathy from the tests they did.  It is also just recently approved for fibro pain and I really have no doubt that I have fibro.  My rd said it would help desensitize me to some of the others pains as well.  Seeing how I just started on the lower dose about 3.5 weeks ago or so I KNOW its not causing my over all medical problems but dizziness is a side effect.  I am hoping that it will go away in a few days as my body adjusts.  I am also extremely tired and know that can be a side effect of the lycria as well but I want to give it a fair chance.

My hands are more fat than they were and much more sore.  I am stiff and sore all over but I had expected it to be worse with stopping as many meds as I did at at once.  I am a bit headachey and weak and most definitely tired and shaky but the pain has only gone up a notch or so.

My blood pressure has come way down since putting on the extra strong patch.  This morning I checked it on my way to work and it was 115/87, way better than 177/106!  So, I obviously need some sort of blood pressure control for now.  When it is time to change my patch, I think Thursday, I will go back to the regular dose one and see what my numbers are.

My pulse is another story though.  It was still 126 this morning.  No idea what is causing that to be so high?

No response from the fax I sent to the doctor and no call back from the pain clinic either.  I guess they didn't think that blood pressure at 177/106 was anything to get worried over.

I am planning on calling and finding an endocrinologist and a shrink this week.

Of course I ate more than I should have at my moms but otherwise my dieting is doing well.  I bought a bunch of healthy food and know that starving myself is not the way to do it.  I have 16 light wheat thins, a 100 calorie pouch of tuna for lunch and some grapes for a snack. My goal is to lose 52 pounds and as of Friday, I had lost 3.  My water class starts next week and I am going to make myself go no matter how tired I am!

Alrighty, I think that covers most everything.  My boss will be in this afternoon, ACK, I feel pretty dazed and confused and would much rather be home that at the office!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  I am hoping to get caught up on some posts before the boss comes in! Hey Michele, thanks for the update.  I've been wondering how you're doing, and I know that the others have been as well.  It sounds like overall, things are going not too bad, and in some areas a lot better.  I'm glad to hear it.  I'm especially glad to hear that your blood pressure is lower, those were some pretty high numbers you had going. Surprizing that your doc didn't feel the need to get back with you on that.

Hi Michele, I do believe the trip to your moms has made you feel a lot better

Even with all you have to deal with, it sounds like you're feeling a bit better and you have a plan to get you moving in the right direction. Hopefully it will lead you to the answers you need, sooner rather than later.

Sounds like you had a nice visit...glad you're doing ok Michele.

Glad to hear you're doing well Michele! And THANK YOU for listening to us about eating ;-) Ya know we just love you, right?? :)

*big hugs*
