Chest infection | Arthritis Information

Hi guys, it is raining quite heavy here today, so I didn't mind ghaving to stay in bed, my chest infection is improving but slowly, at least its improving though!!!!  Thankyou for all your'e support and prayers, I need them.  I guess it will be another week before they allow me to contemplate the new RITUXIMAB and to restart my MTX.

I have been on pred for 7 years and MTX on and off for 7 years and Arava in that time for about two years on and off, and I am finding that my hair is really thinning especially at the temples and what isn't falling out is going white!!!!!!  HELP - I guess its from the disease too, any thoughts?  It is getting to the point though where it will get embarrassing and I am contemplating stopping the meds, yeah right, well that is what I'd like to do!!!!!  Have a great day everyone and keep your spirits up, hugs Janie. Hi Janie - I sure hope you are feeling better, what are they giving you for the chest infection? is it the same as pneumonia?  I haven't taken Mtx yet, just started on Plaquenil, but I know Mtx would make my hair thinner, and it is already too thin!  Wonder if anyone has ever tried a wig - not the obvious type, but the cute ones that they wear in Hollywood.  Best regards,  Pat

My hair is thinning with Diflucan - I'm thinking of a weave or extensions!  Maybe in something...red!

Continued healing to you!

Pip

How are you doing, Janie? What is the chest infection doing? With Rulide and Keflex you should be getting there, sweetie. I hope so.  HI guys, I went back to Doc today as I am still feeling very poorly, she said that the infection has turned to pleurisy as I have so much pain in my lungs/ribs etc, but she did say that the infection had shifted so the antibiotics are working but very very slowly, and gave me more antibiotics, double dose of rulide and Keflex!!!!!  I am to go back next week and not touch MTX for the time being.  My esr is 50 and my CRP 20, no wonder I feel rotten!!!  I am just staying home, keeping warm, hydrated and looking after my son who also has a chest infection, he is having it tough, third lot of antibiotics for him.  Never mind, we have been having fun watching movies and cuddling up, drinking hot chocolate etc.

How do you feel today Cordy, any after effects?  Have you sorted out the wet carpet yet?  I hope so as this lot of rain we are having now looks threatening too.

Love to all of you JAnie.  Well, good, Janie I am not glad you now have pleurisy but am glad it is being kept on top of. You will get better, it is just slow going. You poor bugger. You needed this like a hole in the head, geez. You sound a little more up emotionally with today's post.  Movies and cuddling is a great idea.

I am fine. No bad after effects...severe RA but nothing else. All good.

Carpet is now dry but stinks. Stupid property manager tried to blame the thing on me and wouldn't dry it out, silly woman. Legally not my problem and all she has created is more problems, dah. I am just keeping an eye on the rain in case of more seepage but it was cleared so it should be okay.

You get well, girl.
