OMG am I actually able to start the chat post for the day?? WOOOHOOOOOOO!!!  So slept alright last night but woke up this morning to my left eye killing me, like I got a black eye or something.  I looked at it and my eyelid is red at the part where it goes to my eyelashes but thats it...but it hurts like a mofo (heheh ive been wanting to say that word since yesterday)

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

I am soooo tired.  My beloved 14-yr-old stepson decided to call not once, but twice, at 1:00 in the morning to tell us again how he really, really wants to legally change his last name to some random word because he doesn't like his last name (my husband's last name).  Uh, no!!!  And did he think waking us up on a weeknight was really the way to go about making his ridiculous case?  If someone's calling me at 1:00 am, someone better be dead or the house better be on fire!

So I am really dragging this morning and I so needed that sleep.  Although I'm doing leagues better than Monday, I'm still having terrible pain in my hands and feet, and my ankles are balloons.

                      Good Morning Everyone!

Hope ya'll are having a good day and it only keeps getting better! It is a beautiful morning here in N.C., kinda nice in the mid 80's, beats the 100's anyday.

Got my blood work back and everything says negative on the RA.

Shannon sounds like you may have a sty in your eye or an infection. Sorry love you don't need that with you travelling all day

Sorry you didn't get your much needed rest InnerGlow.,teenagers are like that though...sorry

Well I'm off to clean house and do laundry

Mona~ Yea might be but could also be from all the crying last night too.

Oh Shannon Sweetie, I prayed for you and your family last night and will continue as long as you need. You are probably right about the crying, you irratated them by rubbing them is my guess. Have a safe trip and keep in touch. You can get some eye ointment at the drug store that may help. Bless you and your familyI'm up I'm up.

Katie you better do what Justin says and go to the Dr. Doesn't sound like you're getting any better at all! You may need an antibiotic or some antibiotic ear drops.

Have a good day at work but if you start hurting please go to the Dr.

Katie my ENT Dr. told me to hold my nose tightly and blow real hard several times a day. Your ears will pop and crack and you will have to yawn to get them back open; but it may make the fluid in your ears drain better and get rid of them being so stopped up. Try it a few times. It helped me

I have a new parlor trick I can do!

I know someone that can do that, tiny bubbles come out of her tear duct. And how's this for a cool trick?  When my sister blows her nose in the morning, her eyeshadow from the day before is in the kleenex.

Oh yeah, and theirs this too:

happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday dear me-ee happy birthday to me.

Well I must say, you don't look a day older than you did yesterday, Linda!

Happy, Happy, Birthday to you!  Enjoy it.

Are you doing anything special?

Thank you very much my friend

Happy B-Day Lady!!

MoNana when I do that it's VERY painful. My mom does it all the time though! I've been eating peppermints all day and MY EARS FELL MINTY!!!!

We just found out that our general manager is leaving on Wednesday.

To run a new hotel. I'm less that pleased..we REALLY LIKED HIM!! Boo hiss.

Okay so I need some brainstorming help.

I am very very very allergic to nickel. I can't wear any jewlrey that has it, matter of fact, the only kind that DOESN'T break me out is titanium. I even get a rash from 24K gold. Sad, isn't it?

Anywho. I have a pin of Manson that my friend turned into a ring for me (MUCH to my delight) BUT of course it's a cheapy little nickel ring!! Anyone have any idea if there's something I can coat it with that will prevent me from breaking out???

Try nail polish.  My mom's allergic to everything but 24k gold.  I think that's what she does.

Katie, try coating it with clear nail polish. It may take a couple of coats and you may have to re-do occasionally...

Happy Birthday Linda!!!!!!

Oooo you guys are so smart. I'm gonna do that tonight!!

   HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINK !!!!

Hope you had a great one

Mine is the 16th

              How is everyone tonight?

Hey there Mona!

What's shakin', Bacon?

Karen where did you go???? I'm shakin cause you left me!

How was your day, you save any lives?

I just got home from work about an hour ago and when I came in the house it was hotter than hades. I always leave the AC set at 78 degrees when I'm gone, but when I came home the temperature was 86 degrees and the AC was running. Well kinda. The fan was blowing, but no cool air was coming out. Sooooooo, we're in the biggest heat wave of the summer and my AC appears to be broken.

THEN, I go upstairs and turn on the computer to check my email, and Windows won't load. Some error about missing system files. So I just spent the last half hour running a diagostic on it, and it would appear that my hard drive has 'fried'. *sigh*

Well, I just signed on to my son's computer, and now HE just came home from work, so what do you think he want's to do. You got it, get on his computer.

So, I'm outta here. Aint life grand!

Happy first day of school YEAH all day long thank god I think my 6 year old was trying to drive me crazy the last few days.

On a much happier note my son who was in the hospital with Acute Pancreatitis is home in Rhode Island and doing fine what a scare that was.  It turns out he had hyperlipidemia that is what brought on the attack so hopefully it will not happen again. I have a strong family history of very high Lipids.

So all and all a pretty good day my 16 year old and 6 year are back in school every day my 22 year old son is out of the hospital and doing fine my 21 year old is back at ST John's in Queens and the BENNYS went home until next summer

Now if only my meds would kick in LOL at least the Dr told me they would fill my vicodin today when I called I hope everyone is doing well have a good day tomorrow Good night

Linda from NJ

Oh poor you Brisen the computer and the a/c, what a meltdown!!! I would go to a motel! So sorry

Gale, a woman can't survive without AC and PC!  That's just wrong!

I went to Wal-mart and picked up a few things tonight and I bought a Celtic Music CD. I love that type of music, reminds me of River Dance and Lord of the Rings, and they had 3 CD's for 9.99. It is sooo good I was amazed! Anybody else like that kind of music? Or am I the only weirdo?

Today has been Tuesday all day to me

Gotta get my butt in gear though.  We're having a big planning meeting at our house Saturday for Halloween with lots of people coming.  I need to get somethings ready for the meeting and I keep getting pulled away with other stuff!

My girls and sister have gone twice but I don't think I could handle the noise. I hate big crowds anyway

Wonder how Shelly did today with her first Remicade infusion? Where are you Shelly?

And where is Joonie? I'm calling America's Most Wanted if she don't show up soon!

I may iron a little too I'm down to the scrubs

Mona, yes, it was a nice b-day, thanks for the well wishes.

So, I went to bed early, very tired getting up at five the last couple of mornings. My son, the married one calls around 10, worried about his wife.  He was at work and couldn't get ahold of her, wanted to know if I'd talked to her.  So she pulls up at work while we're still talking (yay, she's ok) so we hang up.  He called me back a short while later again, very worried.  Mandi had a dr visit today because she's been having some back pain for quite a while. She has scoliosis, so we all thought it was due to that.  Well, the doc told her he is concerned that it might be a tumor in either her brain or her spine and is scheduling her for tests (MRI?) as soon as possible.  My son is scared, and I guess if truth be told, I am too.  Would he schdule it ASAP if it was just to rule something out?

Oh Link, how scary!  I hope it turns out to be nothing serious.  At least with it being scheduled ASAP you won't have to wait and worry long.

How was your dinner, are you nice and garlicked up?

Oh, I'm garlicked all right. Take a deeeeep breath, can ya smell me?  I

Good point about the not long wait.  I hadn' thought of that, thanks. Well, I'm all sleepy again. That phone call gave me a jolt, but it's wearing off.  And 5 comes early tomorrow too.  Good night.  Have a lovely chat, gals.

Well, I hope you will find yourself feeling so much better soon, that you won't even need a discussion like that again!

ya, I know Karen, but ya know hubby's not good about timing.

How has your day been?  Rope any hogs and get some fatback? EWWW
Hello everyone!  Linda, Whew!  Glad your son is home and doing well.  I never heard of the lipid thing, but it sounds like it isn't to serious?

Mona, yes, it was a nice b-day, thanks for the well wishes.

So, I went to bed early, very tired getting up at five the last couple of mornings. My son, the married one calls around 10, worried about his wife.  He was at work and couldn't get ahold of her, wanted to know if I'd talked to her.  So she pulls up at work while we're still talking (yay, she's ok) so we hang up.  He called me back a short while later again, very worried.  Mandi had a dr visit today because she's been having some back pain for quite a while.
Even if a tumor is just a remote possibility, the doctor would be negligent if he/she didn't schedule followup tests as soon as possible.

Once when I had xrays of my feet to check for joint damage, something weird showed up.  The rheumatologist was not worried about it, but I was sent for an MRI right away anyway.  It turned out to be a benign bone cyst, probably from when I had dropped a can of raviolios on my toe a few years back.

I have been pretty productive today, I must say.  Not exactly the things I planned, but productive anyway.

I also got my MRI set up for Monday!  Yay, I'm actually looking forward to it, am I nuts?

Hi Shelly, I was asking about ya, glad the infusion went well and hope the nausea goes away soon. I think I would rather be in pain that sick on my stomach

Link Sorry to here about your new DIL, I'll be praying this is not a tumor. I'm sure your family is terrified. Glad to hear you had a great dinner and yes I smell your garlic

I'm taking a break from the laundry room, I hate ironing!

Yep thats me the fatback girl

Why are you having an MRI Karen and why didn't I know that?

It's time to get a better look at my hip than the x-rays can provide.  See what's going on in there.  And I love to have my picture taken!

The really good thing is we have reached our yearly deductible, so it will be fully covered under our insurance.  So this is definitely the time to do it!

Just popping in to see what's going on...withdrawls  LOL

Link, sorry to hear about your DIL. Kelly's right about them scheduling the MRI as soon as possible, and I will keep her in thought and pray that it turns out to be nothing.

Fatback girl, whassup??

Karen- what's going on with your hip??? Ok Whatever about the picture taking

 I'm "princess fatback"

Well good luck on the new bionic woman Karen

Are ya'll cooled down any Brisen? Man that would so stink without air

Joonie is MIA! I am sending Dawg the bounty hunter after her, Katie probably is hurting from an eari nfection and wont go to the dr., and Link partied to hard and went to bed.

No, hubby doesn't "get it", because he is a counsellor and he has this hang up about disease being a mind thing.  GTLH

I want to see those pants!LOL

Karen...why did we not know about this before???  I hope you are ok and it is fixable.

Gale...I will also pray for your DIL...gosh how scary for the family!

Do you guys still do your kid's laundry? I do...even though I know he's 23 and should be doing his own. But, he lives at home, so I do it.

LOL Shelly you as confused as I am LMBO. you explain Brisen

Blame it on the Meds Shelly, I do

Well Shelly...thanks for your concern about my DIL. But I don't have a DIL...that would be Linda!  LOLI think Mona needs a sash with "Princess Fatback" on it, don't you?  You could wear it around the neighborhood to impress your hillbilly neighbors!

I do every flippin bodies laundry and ironing

Only if it is Royal blue Karen

Gosh, since I have made such a stinking mess out of the WHOLE thing...I think that is it for me.

I read my post, and yah it is all jumbled, but I was trying to talk to my adopted mom.

Princess Fatback makes me laugh!

Sorry again for ALL of the mix ups...I hope to join when I am not doped out of my mind.  What a day....We do have a brand new licensed driver...gosh as if I didn't have enough to worry about??!!

Yep Karen! A Princess Fatback sash to wear around her waist with her itty bitty blue jeans!

I hate to admit this...I LOVE to iron.  I get to wear my tiara to the BBQ...I AM queen!haha

I do my youngest son's laundry, but he's getting to the end!!! I just told him the other night, this is his senior year and I have to start getting him ready for college, so he has to start doing his laundry.  My oldest son has to do his own, I don't do it.  Occasionally if I have a load that isn't full I will go in his room and ask him if he has something he wants to add to it.  I'm so nice!

Ironing, well that is my hubby's job.  I don't do it to suit him, so years ago I strongly suggested he could do it himself, LOL!  His mamma taught him well!

You make me laugh Shelly, we're all alike here except Karen, she's way quicker tan all of us put together

Karen - Kudos to you for training your family well!

Mo- You and I suck!

We have the same kids, problems , do it all housework...where did we go wrong

I was informed that my ironing did not fit military tradition, so I said here, now he does ALL the ironing.

Trey has never done a load of laundry, ever! Hubby is pretty good at it. I am very picky about laundry

Yeah, you did it again. I would love to agree that Karen's the one that live in LA LA land, but alas, 'tis me.

My son Dan thanked me for teaching him to do laundry before he went to college.  There was a girl in his dorm that couldn't understand why her clothes were wet when she took them out of the washing machine - she thought you just put them in and the machine washed and dried them!

My youngest Jamie has been learning how to cook too.  He is building a small repertoire of recipes he can make, as he said "So I don't have to live on Ramen noodles all the time!".

My daughter does her laundry when she wants something done fast.  She also cooked dinner.  It is disgusting how much my son does for me, but he is special....not SPE..shul like the Special K's.

Hubby does well at takeout, no cooking unless it is on the grill.

He also started him on Klonopin at night before going to bed. I think that's what knocked him out so early tonight. But he said he had a good day and felt pretty good.

Have you ever heard that song by Adam Sandler about Special Sam?

"He's a little bit special"   Yep, that's me!

Gale I am glad he had a good day.  I don't know that med.  I can ask hubby tomorrow.

I am surprised hubby doesn't bring home some meds for me!!!

My hubby can't cook ANYTHING! The boys will cook if they're hungry and I'm not home, but other than that, I fly solo.

What is the patch for, an anti anxiety patch? This sounds new.

Yeah, anti-anxiety and depression. I know it's a MAO inhibitor, but not sure of the name. I'll do a drug search when I'm at work tomorrow. The doc said the wash-out on Paxil is about 10 days, so he sees him next week and will give him the prescription for the patch.

Well, good night ladies...I need to go to bed, and sleep off this med.  I wish it worked like that.

Glad to catch up.  Will try harder tomorrow to put everyone on the wrong coasts!

Love ya all.

You still here "special K"?

ya, just needed to help a friend.  Gale get Jass(Kelly) on that tomorrow.  The diet restrictions for MAOI's were hurrendous!

Good meds though. I can ask hubby if he has anyone on that or if one of his psychobable friends could tell him about it more.

I'm sure my kids would agree with you about just how special I am, LOL.

Can you imagine, just imagine having me for a mom!!!  Poor kids!

I've been such a source of embarrassment to them, and I'm quite proud of that!

Mo, you cannot mix SSRI and MAOI without killing someone.  You will have to wean the Paxil very carefully though.  His panic attacks may return as Paxil only has a 24-48 hour shelf life.

Yep and she answered right too it so she will be "Special K" from now on

<<Opens Window>>  Good Night Shelly.  Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Yep...probably why he prescribed the Klonopin...so does your son have RA?

Thank you so much for opening the window...Gale is HOTHOTHOT!

Good night all...now I am getting silly...done for tonight!

Love to ya

Well, my Ambien has finally kicked in, so I'm going to head off to my hot bedroom and lay down in my hot bed. Damn it's hot in here!

I did not know that.  But I have heard some young adults have commited suicide on some of them. How much was he on? I take 20mgs. Trey is on 50mgs. of Zoloft. What should I look for?

Karen I'm sure your boys think you're the coolest mom ever!

No Shelly, son does not have RA. He's being treated for anxiety/depression.

And yes, I am HOTHOTHOT!

Good Night and I hope you don't melt

Anyways I may read a little more and turn in soon . Good night Special K
