I gave in to my pred sugar cravings AGAIN UGH! I went down the halloween candy aisle and they had a new kind of candy corn - Caramel Candy Corn!

Yeah!! It is good and nutritious (kinda) hehehee!

13 pieces = 10% calcium & 0 Fat!!

Do not ask about the sugars...

Ok now don't make me start craving sweets. I've already eaten a bag full of miniature Reese Cups this weekAnd I just ate a big bag of peanut M&M's! My favorite candy though is candy corn, peeps, and those yummy orange marshmallow circus peanuts!!omg Gale you're sick. Sick sick sick!!

I LOVE Candy Corn & Peeps! Daughter was trying to tempt me with the Peeps when we were down the halloween candy aisle. I told her no to put them back. It never fails... when I buy peeps I get 1 maybe 2 and then the rest the kids sneak and eat.

Now the candy corn I can hide!what is wrong with you people??

Awwwww Katie, you just don't know what's good for you!

However, stale peeps? YUUUCKKKKK

Since my Sjogren's has become so bad, about the only thing I can taste is "sweet". Weird, huh? Everything else tastes like cardboard.

My dear husband does all of our cooking, and, bless his heart, he has been trying so hard to find ANYTHING I can taste. He made Mini meatloaves with bbq sauce (also sauce inside of them) They are really good and I could taste them pretty much. I'm not a big meat eater, but the size was just right. He makes them in a muffin pan. So they are little "meat muffins". He actually found a "taste" for me.

I've also been eating a lot of watermelon and red grapes. They are so good and sweet this year.

It's past my bedtime and I had Nerve Block injections in my neck today, so I'm pretty tired. Also, pain doc gave me Lunesta to try, since Ambien and Restoril turned me into a zombie. So it's off to bed for me

Have a good night everybody! Candy corn and peeps dreams to all.

Nini

Yeah... I FINALLY found a Tear N Share bag of the Dark Chocolate Peanut M&Ms and well....

They are not all they are cracked up to be. They are kinda bitter tasting, and just not as GOOD as I was thinking they were going to be. Let's put it this way... I am actually sharing with my son and it is only a 3oz bag

Ya'll ever crave something, but do not know what you are wanting? I have been like that for a couple of weeks now. That is why sooo many trips to Wal-Mart... was hoping something would jump out at me and say "EAT ME!"

Oh too funny... I did see something that jumped out at me that said "Eat ME!" The halloween costumes are at the front of the store this year (usually in the garden dept), and they have a costume of Ketchup & Mustard

OH, I didn't know they made carmel candy corn. i LOVE candy corn. especially the ones with the chocolate. I'm going to have to check the candy isle now for the carmel. I also love the dark chocolate M & Ms with peanuts & stale peeps YUM!!!

WHAT ARE PEEPS??????????

I have a strange craving and maybe i'm lacking something but i have been going through 3 to 4 bags of pre- packed salad.( weird) Crunchy ice berg lettuce, white cabbage or red and grated carrott mixed. The 3 to 4 bags is per day. Hubby keeps joking that our local supermarket cant keep up with my demand. The craving is real as if i havent had any and we go shopping I actually start to drool at the thought of the salad........its even become a midnight snack.......oh hell now even i think i'm strange!!!!!

Wow! Now I am going to have to go play "hide N seek" with my carmel candy corn outta the clean clothes basket, where I hid it from the kids

My stummy is growling just thinking about eating it

The one we have in town is so crowded and dirty.  It has about the highest crime rate for the whole town.

I would love to go to Walmart for the diversity and the price compared to like Target, but I am too scared since I started walking funny.  I feel like there is a big target on my back.  I am such an easy victim.  I can't walk well, I'm slow and I hurt.  If someone were to approach me, there would be nothing I could do.  I would just be scared that he/she would hurt me and I would end up hurting even more due to a flare.

This disease has made me more aware of how vulnerable to attacks I could be, I'm scared of other people and strange places now.  I use to be totally unaware and unafraid of anything.  I could go anywhere and not be worried about my safety at all.  Now I feel like I would make such an easy target for anything.

We don't very often go to our local walmart. Matter of fact, we usually go to one that's about 30 minutes down the road, and we only go in the middle of the night. SAFEST PLACE ON EARTH I swear. There are SO many workers, no customers, everything is out, they are nice and sweet and I always find what I need at that one.

Ours is TERRIBLE always busy, midnight is as busy as noon, the employees are grumpy (and rightfuly so, I used to work there, IT SUCKS) Nothing is ever stocked and almost NEVER find what the hell I'm after at the local one. Ick.

I'm hooked on Almond Joy's still. Justin and I walked down the halloween candy aisle and the ONLY THING I WANTED was the one thing that they DIDN'T have. Sweet tarts in the shape of bones.

I whacked a bully boy when I was in Jr High with my crutch. He and his bully buds all left me totally alone after that. He didn't tell either...Could not admit to that the fat crippled girl beat him.

Oh shame on me

I know how you feel. I was like that and still am to some point, and I have a 6 foot, 220lb hubby with me when I go. But I was having a problem with him walking off to the front door of wal-mart without me. Yeah... but since I told him of my feelings about him leaving me, he now waits on me and walks a few feet in front of me.

I would probably not go to wal-mart by myself or even with one of my kids. I just feel like I am an easy target. PLUS I have this fear stemming back from childhood about being kidnapped.

Our wal-mart is pretty clean, it was built in the mid 90's a super center. PLUS we do not have anything else to shop at, like Target, K-Mart, ToysRus, ect. So wal-mart is the in thing around here

Our Walmart turns into freakyville at night. Shame on me, but we used to go just to people watch. Staying open 24hrs only lated about four months because it got so weird. I really do think people dressed costumey on purpose. If we want anything after 10pm we have to go to the new Safeway.

Suzy, I would strongly suggest you take a self defense class.  There are many things you can do to protect yourself which do not require you to be physically fit.  One important aspect is you attitude.  A criminal looks for someone who feels like a victim.

That's why it is important to learn techniques and strategies to use which will prevent you ever being attacked or assaulted.  But if you know in your heart that you can take care of yourself if something were to happen, it will make your life much more enjoyable.

I have a hard time walking, so running or using my legs to fight would be next to impossible.  But I know if someone messed with me, they would regret it.  I am always aware of my surroundings and thinking about the strategy I could use if something were to happen in this location.  I am cautious, but not paranoid, and I know what I will do immediately if something happens.  The element of surprise belongs to me, not them.  And boy are they going to be surprised.

I have taken a self-defense class, and it was wonderful.  I think you should look into one in your area.  When you call around for info, tell them your circumstances and what your concerns and limitations are.  Find an instructor that can help you find the inner confidence you need to live your life fully.  You deserve that, and it is absolutely possible.  Get empowered!

You all just reminded me of a GREAT tip i read!

Do you have a car alarm? do you have that keychain to trigger the alarm? When you park your car, always hold the keys in your hand. If anyone approaches you just set off your car alarm!! More than likely, they will run away.

I don't know where you all live, but our WalMarts are just fine! We don't have any of the stuff you guys are talking about. In fact, we have a new Super WalMart opening any day now, about 8 blocks away! WooHoo! I can't wait. This is our first Super WalMart in my city.

Yep! I would go for the cane.  I was on crutches at our Frontier Days last year at a concert, and some stupid teenager kicked my crutch into my leg(the one that was bandaged), and I took the crutch and hit his foot and made him almost fall into all of his buddy's.  The person behind me said, "good job, you should have hit him in the head with it too."  I hate how rude people are now-a-days.

Always keep your head up as much as you can.  Look people in the eyes(people that are going to do wrong will not make eye contact). and try to carry yourself as erect as you can.  The car thing works too.  Put a whistle on your key ring, or maise if it is legal in your state.

This thread made me crave krispy Kreme doughnuts! I went to Selfridges to buy one (or several !) today  but they were giving them out free as it was late in the day. Hurrah! Great tips everyone!!
