Hiya guys,
Heres my situation:
Had surgery on 8/27 and my surgeon asked me to stop my celebrex 10 days before surgery.. so I did.. this unfortunatly caused my left knee to flare up ugh. Now I started the celebrex back up a week ago and its just not working, the inflamtion is getting worse. Going to see my Rheumy on tuesday can you guys recommend any meds I can ask him about? I dont want to do prednisone! I am currently taking Enbrel and Celebrex and im not sure what would go well with those. I cannot take anything that does tons of possible liver damage such as MTX.. so Im not sure.. Any advice is great thanks :)
Try fish oil. 10 to 20 grams a day (use oil made from the body of the fish,
not the liver). This can take up to 3 months to work.
It works for me.Is it just oral steroids you are keen to avoid? I find that a steroid injection works wonders at calming down major flare ups.

Yea I just don't want to constantly be on a steroid, but yes an injection would be nice. Ill ask about that! Thanks for your reply :)

Is Omega Fatty Acids the same or contain fish oil? I have some of those and I thought someone mentioned it. Thanks for your reply :)
Last week i had a steroid injection in my wrist and one in my bum for overall symptons i have felt really good since and wish it would last forever however my consultant is advising me to go on MTX i start it on the 15th october
The injections have given me real good temporay relief
Since just one knee is so very bad, ask your doc to inject that 1 joint. They can really provide many months of relief even in my badly damaged knees.
