Lab results | Arthritis Information

Just sat down to go over my supposedly all normal lab results that I finally received from the U of M.  There are 6 things in the abnormal column.  The first one is PCAG which says Protein C Antigen, I can not for the life of me figure out what this is.  I have googled it and still can't figure it out.  My level is 222, on the lab print out it says that 60-106 is normal. This cant be the same as the c reactive protein???  Can anyone find an explanation of this?????

The other things that are abnormal which I haven't looked up yet are

Urine protein =  mostly albumin, alpha-1 and transferrin constant with glomerular type proteinuria

Alpha 1 protein is .22 should be .10-.21
alpha 2 protein is 1.05 should be .52-.95
beta globulin gamma is 1.07 should be .5601.25
PCA protein C activity is 145 should be 70-140

This is on top of the page of abnormal "things" the pain doctor found and can't explain.

Oh gee, look what I found

http://kidney.niddk.nih.gov/kudiseases/pubs/proteinuria/

proteinuria can cause swelling of the hands, feet and face!!!!!

Glad my labs are normal and I am just fat!!!!! Didn't you also have some heart problems a while back?

Michele, I have labtestsonline.org bookmarked--it can really be a help to decipher all this stuff. Here's a link to what I found on Protein C Antigen: http://labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/protein_c_a nd_s/test.html

Good luck to you--I'm sorry that this diagnosis is so difficult and frustrating.
