Is it a live vaccine?  If so, when I was out in Cleveland this past week they had given it to my grandma.  Now we cant be around those that have recieved live vaccines right? Since our immune systems suck.  Well Im starting to get something but i dunno could just be paranoid.  What are the chances that I could've caught something?  Now if i do get sick I really dont care, I'm glad I went to see her before we left. It's not a live vaccine.

I think you caught something from Katie.  I still blame her for my strep. Okay if I get blamed for sickness one more time........ Ok yea lets blame it on Katie... Dammit Katie!!!  Why are you goin around getting everyone sick???  That's it. The next time I'm sick I'm spitting on every post.  Serves you all right....blaming little ol' me... Can I blame Katie for my lower intestinal problem?  Please, I just want it to go away. Very annoying.  Your fault Katie. Also, your fault that I have a rash on my leg.  Now I feel better.  Lindy*blinks*

Oh hell I give up. It's my fault.

Katie why did you make my dog roll in a banana today??????

pneumonia vaccine is something we should have every 5 years to go along with the flu vaccine we should have every year.

It's one of the ones we can, do, and should get.

As far as Katie goes....she is just really mean and vindictive wanting us all to be sick so she can brag about how good she feels....LMAO PAM! Yes, that is why I took a nose dive into the counter top at work. Cause I wanted to feel good. Hahahaha I am such a klutz. Justin says I hurt myself on a weekly, and sometimes almost daily basis. I've never been the most coordinated person around.....

GEE! THANKS! SHANNON!!

Now you reminded me I have to get one of these before I start Remicade, along with a flu shot and TB test. Man! More needles!

I have an appointment with my GP sometime next week I think, who knows? My wallet does I'm terrified to get the flu shot, or the pneumonia one.........I've gone almost 9 years without getting EITHER. I'm scared that if I do get the shot, I'll just end up with it again. And when I get them, I get them BAAAADDD. And pneumonia is never alone, it always tags along with bronchitis. *sigh* Oh, and they like to last about a month, too. I am SO glad I got my flu shot this year.  My hubby is just getting over the flu and I am so glad I didn't get it, he was SOOOO sick (and he rarely gets sick).  When do you get them, anyway??  Haven't gotten either before, but I guess I have to now.   That's what the doc says anyway.  I hate shots.  Guess that's kinda silly coming from someone who sticks herself every Friday.  It's different if you can see the needle, and if someone else is doing it.  Then you just have to sit there and wait for someone else to decide when to stick the needle in.   I hate the suspense. Now would be good. before the bad weather and flu season starts.  And, Katie, the flu shot will NOT make you sick (unlike Katie, who seems to like getting everyone else sick!!! Pshaw. Whatevs. I just made an appt. for Oct. to have both my flu shot and Pneumvaccine.  My RD told me to get them both.  I always get the flu vaccine EXCEPT for last year because I was so out of it from the RA.  I got the flu so bad that I missed work for an entire week!

The only person that I know who had a live vaccine was my stepson with the smallpox vaccine.  He had to keep it covered and not wear contact lenses to avoid secondary infections.  Joonie, you cant get sick just from going outside w/ wet hair...GG out in Ohio trys to convince us of that but you have to be sick first and the going outside w/ wet hair increases your chances of getting sick...So now I am wondering if I should go get a flu shot and a pneumonia shot.  hmmm maybe I'll call the dr when i get along to it.  He wanted me to get it a few years ago but that was when I had first started Humria and he didnt want to run the risk of me getting sick when I was first on it.

The pneumonia shot is wonderful, because it not only prevents several types of pneumonia, it also prevents most cases of sinusitis!  I highly recommend it for everyone, not just people with chronic disease.

Shannon, you probably caught something in the hospital while you were there.  That's why I hate going to doctor's offices and hospitals - there's sick people there!  EEEwww!

Karen, i was thinking the same thing... owell it was worth it
