wondering if there were any other mothers out there w/young children w/jra. how old were your kids and how did you get through day to day when they are having rough days?the steriods give her a wicked attitude and she eats like crazy.not getting alot of sleep and that makes me more emotional and moody with her.any suggestions on how to get through these rough patches until they get the meds figured out and get her swelling under control?

I'm sorry you've had to come looking for us. Like Roxy said my son Oscar has JRA. He is 12 now, his onset was we believe at age 2 1/2 and he has just recently been diagnosed. I remember how exhausting it was when he was a toddler and constantly sick.
There is a great message board for parents of kids with JRA at the Arthritis Foundation website. Visit there and you will meet alot of great mom's going through the same day to day that you are.
