OT - Beaders New design | Arthritis Information

Hello all my fellow beaders!

I have a new design in the "Simply Beads" magazine.  It is a swarvoski watch and band. I do like it but I can't put those kind of watches on anymore.  Oh well, it was fun to design and even more fun to see in a magazine.  The article is called "Warm up for fall" on page 47 of the October issue.  It is on one page of the "virtual" magazine if you "flip" through it and I took these photo's.  The magazine does a much better job of photography Hey Mary B., you did good! Too bad I can't put it on myself NICE!!! I can't wear watches after about a couple of hours they quit working for some strange reason. I joke and tell people I am so good looking I stop clocks. It's been that way since I was a teenager. My mom would buy me all kinds of watches. Expensive or cheap didn't matter, they would quit working. Even tried one on a necklace and it quit working an hour later. Go figure! Crazy Me! Also gold turns my skin green.Mary, that is absolutely beautiful. Keep designing woman, you are so good at it. I haven't been able to wear watches at all for years because of my RA swelling. I had some nice ones too.

Mary, that is gorgeous!!

CinDee, I cant waer watches for the same reason..  neither can my sister or my son.. weird isnt it? has something to do with the electromagnetic system in your body..

I've also heard that people who are  very intuitive/psychic also stop watches, and small appliances.. My sister erases  computer discs just by holding them..its  wild.

That's really pretty Mary. You've really got a talent for design. It's just beautiful.

Congratulations.

Lovie39338.3162037037Soooo  pretty   I love fire opals.Very pretty, nice job!!!  Where do you find those crystal pendants at? If this is beading, I can see why you love it.  I was thinking all those little bitty beads, tedious :)  Gorgeous design - my watch is Swarvoski crystals, in a different design, and I love it.

I have an idea/request for all you beaders...

I wear a medical alert bracelet. Last year while I was at the hospital having tests run, I went into the gift shop and they had them with beaded bracelets. The alert part has "D" shaped cut outs so the beaded part could be clipped onto it. Of course after a while the beaded stretchy string broke. These would sell so well if they were a bit better made and more stylish. Mine was fairly basic, but it served it's purpose without making me feel more handicapped than I already am. I tried replacing beads, but it's really not my thing. My fingers don't work well enough and I lose patience. I hope I've described this well enough.

Deb

ps those are beyond gorgeous!
