Heh. Heh. Heh.

I thought this said "for the BREEDERS"

*grin* My bad.

Hi Shannon, What kind of design are you thinking about?  One thing you can do is sew individual beads around the top of the bag.  You could use some plastic turquoise and silver beads.  Walmart and Michaels have a good selection of beads and beading material for beginners.   You can also string colorful small beads on string and sew the string on the bag in a design.  Seed beads can be glued in a design.  Make a pattern of the design and transfer to the bag, then lay glue down and press your seed beads into the glue.  At some stores you can buy beaded ribbon by the yard and sew it onto the items that you want to decorate.  Hope this helps you out.  Have fun.  LindyHi, I love to bead, but I can't use seed beads anymore.  My hands just aren't up to it.  Lindy had a good idea.  Lots of bead magazine and online bead stores have projects online to look at.

Katie, I thought it said that too, but then I re-read it and realized what it really said

It was really fun and was sort of my introduction to beading.

ok Katie you and Joonie need to get your heads outta he gutter

Pammy, thats how I want to do it.  How do i get started w/ that?  It looks really easy but yea i just am not able to think sometimes

Good luck and you must put up some photos of the finished product

These are a couple of shots of the bag.  Its not professional looking but just different, it was fun making.

Whoa, pretty spectacular for the first time. I love the material.  And guess what I found, my other khaki jean jacket!  I'm getting ready to design a pattern for the collar, cuffs, and this time the back.  Let the insanity begin.  Lindy

Pammy, what a beautiful bag! Your introduction to beading?!

Boy, I wonder what you'll be doing when you get experienced!

I used to do embellished embroidery pieces, but my stupid hands don't work well enough anymore. I just can't hold a needle. I've been trying out different ways to hold it, but none work. I'm not surprised, because I have trouble holding anything, never mind a needle.

But, I digress! I think your bag is gorgeous, and what a good idea!

Be well, Nini
