I love water aerobics.  I call it the blue-haired aqua-league.  Those old broads could kick my butt...all that resistance training.

LOL Pip!! "blue-haired aqua-league" Ok, I guess technically I'm one of those blue hairs even though the blues are covered by a nice blonde shade........I love my water exercises.  I never feel better than when I'm in the water.  I've been trying to promote them for a long time.  It doesn't matter what you look like in a swimsuit or what your preconceived idea of what you look like.  No one cares to be honest with you.  Everyone is there for the same reason....to build up strength and because it feels great.  I don't go to be a fashionista I go for my health.  It's probably one of the best things you can do for your body.  Lindy

I tried, but the water was much too cold due to my Raynaud's. The temp has to be above 90 and no such luck, which is why we went the hot tub route...

My health club has a warm water therapy pool that's kept at 92 degrees.  The regular pool is 82 degrees.  I love going in the warm water pool and stretching, swimming in place (by hanging onto the side rails), or even just walking around the pool. It's about 4.5 feet deep at the deepest point. It's too small to swim laps, but at 92 degrees I don't think I would want to do that!  They have arthritis classes in that pool, but most of them are during the day when I'm at work, and the classes are a bit too slow for my taste (no offense to any blue-hairs here!).  Besides, I don't really care for group exercise anyway.  I like to keep to myself.

Ditto here, that is hilarious!!!!!!!!

I've been going to the pool for about 2 weeks now and I'm trying to go to the gym every day even if it's just to swim. I've been getting some excellant work-outs. I jog, jump, swim and do other exercises with water dumbells, and a flotation belt, and I'm going to get some water gloves for more resistance in the water. I wish I had done this years ago.

I love it!
