Good morning campers!  Hope it's a bunch of happy campers here today.

It's a chilly day here, we went down to 38 F at our house last night.  But today is a gorgeous, sparkling day!

Went to bed about 3 am and shortly after I got under the covers I heard them.  They're back!  The coyotes are back in our neighborhood again.  I ran back downstairs and quickly called in my cat, she was excited and thought she was going to get a special meal, but I just didn't want her to BE a special meal.  We have lost 4 cats to the coyotes over the years.  They stay around for a few months until they have gobbled up all the cats, wild bunnies, and small animals they can find, then they move on to the next area.  I am so disappointed that they are back, cause it has been a couple of years since they have been here, and our rabbit population has grown considerably.  I always have at least 2 or 3 nibbling the clover in my yard.  The coyotes will put an end to that pretty quickly.

I have my yearly physical with my GP this morning.  I don't mind going this year, since I have lost 20 pounds since I was there last!

What's up with everyone else?

uhh ohh Karen, now we have 2 chat posts....LOL I wish we had the ability to merge posts..Owell LOLKaren- we used to have that problem with monkeys when we was in Africa. They got hold of two of my mums cats and tore them apart. They were really cheeky as well. The monkeys used to come in to the house if we left a door open and jump into the fruit bowl and pinch the fruit but making laughing noises as they did it.The sat in my dads bowls hat one day and ran off with the hat stuck to its bum

Hi Lisa, do you have an up date on the little Maddy McCan(sp) case, I've not heard anything this weekend?

So now we really have two OT chats going

We have coyotes around here, too.  My puppies bark at them, but I doubt 2 cocker spaniels are very scary to them. We have plenty of bunnies that get into the garden.

We also have bobcats, foxes, and a mountain lion has been sighted locally.  The bobcats have made the quail disappear.  I would never ever want to meet up with the mountain lion! The bobcats will usually run if they see you, but will fight if cornered or to protect the kits.  So much for walks through the woods- that is if I could walk.

Believe it or not, we have coyotes here in the Chicago burbs.  Once a few years ago (before I had kids), I was out mowing my lawn.  I saw a large dog walking down the road.  I figured someone's pet got loose.  Well, as it came closer, I saw that it was definitely a coyote.  I lived close to a small forest preserve at the time; the coyotes are getting squeezed out of their natural habitat so sometimes they roam the streets. We have coyotes here too, once we watched some stalking a moose calf down in front of the house, DH was trying to figure out how to kill them, the mother moose was just frantic trying to protect the baby. Monkey's!! I've heard story's on the news about marauding bands of monkeys. I was in Florida last year to do an install in January.  The hotel we were all staying at had an outdoor pool and it was open.  It was in the high 60's a couple of evenings after we got back from the job site so I went swimming.  LOL you would have thought I was speaking in tongues or something.  The hotel staff thought I was nuts.  And we were all walking around in short-sleeve t-shirts, while everyone else was bundled up. Yeah same here...
We have the same issues...
If there's anybody out there who share something with regards to this
please post it here and share..
Thanks...
