I am on 25mg. My RD is going to take me off Amitriptyline, as she said it will make me gain weight. And she plans on putting me on just Triptyline as the Ami part is what makes ya gain weight. She said the weight you gain from Ami is hard to get back off.
I would not know if it has affected my appetite as I was on that 18 days of high dose pred and still on pred and then I did not take Amitriptyline for a week. But it does not seem to affect my appetite.
Most of my fat likes to deposite itself on my belly, butt, and thighs.
