Thats awful. Poor little kid. I wear mine a lot , mainly around the house or to drive in. I dont like my clog ones a much as my flip flops. Its still a frightning thought though.

Hospital staff here were wearing them a lot but now they are being stopped as the material they ae made from affects hospital machinery.

Hey, thanks for the heads up!  This is important to know.

Man I was not even wearing crocs when the escalator ate my pants!

what the hey... I think I will sue crocs because the escalator ate my pants My youngest one got a loose shoelace caught at the bottom of an airport escalator.  People started falling over us as I was trying to free him.  Both kids were panicking; I was ready to start punching people, because of course the assholes (the other people, not my kids!!!) were yelling at me to move.  WELL DUH!  If I could, I would.  Hopefully this news will make everyone more cautious on escalators - NO MATTER WHAT SHOES THEY HAVE ON! JasmineRain39343.6594097222I've always been super paraniod about escalators. I always jump over the last step as it gets SUCKED into the black abyss......hahahahaYeah... it was a moving sidewalk in the airport that ate my pants! Yeah... I think airport escalators like to attack people.

I wear them around the house but never wear them to the mall! Rarely leave the house in them actually.

I've always been a little afraid of escalators anyway.

Thanks alot Katie, you couldn't have posted this yesterday before I ordered another pair of crocs for DD. I'll have to put a warning in them when I send them to her.

I try not to wear my crocks outside the house and Cheyenne doesn't have any escalators.

Sometimes when my feet are soooo swollen...that is all I can wear!

I LOVE my Crocs. But, I too don't wear them out of the house. Both my daughters have told me they are the ugliest shoe they have ever seen. But MAN, are they comfortable.

Crocs actually make my feet hurt. My feet are very "tender", and if I step on anything like a little pebble it felt like it was going thru my foot. I had to stop wearing them and buy a pair of New Balance. Which have worked out quite well since I got them broken in Mr rheumatologist noticed I was wearing them and said she thought they were really good for people with rheumatoid diseases.  I said I liked them mainly because of their very light weight, which is nice on days when my knees are stiff and my legs feel so heavy, but that I didn't think they were very supportive.  She said that they are actually quite supportive, and that her kids wear them a lot.  I hope they stay away from escalators, I know I will.  Thanks.   Pat

Thanks for the info on the Crocks. Had talked to a lady and she swears by her's. I want something to wear around the house other than my slippers.

Don't have to worry about escalators as walking with a cane doesn't work well on them.
