When you sweat while cleaning house, are you burning calories?
Just wondering because I swept my bedroom floor and now I am sweating up a storm. PLUS my left ankle just swelled on me and now hurts when I stand on it.

AND YOU TAKE THE NEXT TWO DAYS OFF.

I am working on folding all of the clean clothes that were on top of the dryer and in the baskets now. I am almost done, but my shoulder blades are burning again. Anything that has to do with moving my arms makes them burn. Joonie, my doc says that it is good exercise and yes you are burning calories. Plus, it makes me feel good when the house is clean. Hubby helps too, because after all he helps to make it dirty.
Hahahahaa Paul! Well... Woo!Hoo! is not in the forecast for this week. I am holding out until hubby says he is going to go to church Sunday.
I know mean huh? Ya gotta have a reason to go to church.
Well, mostly hubby does clean the house, when I am not up to it, but I feel like I have the energy and felt like doing it today. SO... I done something. Next is the bathroom. Now that is scarey... lots of use of the hands in that room.

I LIKE TO USE ONE ONCE I BET IT IS NICE IT WOULD BE BETTER
THAN HITTING EVERY BENCH LIKE I DO. LOL
Darrel no matter how bad off I am when I go to wal-mart I do not use one of those motorized carts. EVERYONE keeps telling me to use one, but I just refuse to use one. I would rather people stare at me all hunched over barely able to walk and about to kill over from pain than for someone to stare at me being on one of them things.
I used one when I broke my knee. It was during the winter time, and I was wearing sweat pants over my cast and my crutches were at the front with the people greeter. People stared at me so weird, for using it. After that day I never used one again. I hobbled around on crutches that I had a hard time using because of my hands and wrists.
I still hit every bench in wal-mart. I just HATE it when they decide to move them on me. Old people! Joonie, how old is old? I am 58 so am I old? C'mon Joonie! Maybe they have RA.......... I have to use a electric cart at Walmart and grocery stores. It used to bother me but not anymore. For me with my bad legs, it is better than suffering.. My wife has to use one sometimes to because of her bad knees.
No, they are just old men who sit on the benches at the front of wal-mart to gossip and get their eye full. And the people are old, like in their 60's ... gray hair and all!So I guess in 2 years I will be considered old. Oh woe is me!
Paul, I am just not ready to give into that part of this yet. I am some-what in denial I believe. I know I am probably not doing my body any good, but it makes me feel better.
PLUS, one of our people greeters is a man in a wheel chair, and he sees us come in all the time. He was not working there when I was doing really bad. So... I just feel like I am "poking fun" at him if I get one. I know he sees I cannot walk right, but he also gets to see me on my good days too. So... I just choose not to use one. Because I can walk, if that is what you call stiff legged shuffle. And here this man in his 20's cannot walk.
I call my mom up and when she answers I say "How's it goin' OLD LADY?!"
And I refer to my sisters as Old Lady #2 & Old Lady #3... they inreturn call me Old Lady #4.... but then I remind them that my oldest niece is Old Lady #4. So... they just give up
