Anyone else on sustained release 24 hour morphine sulphate?
I have been on morph sulph but not the 24 hour one, I have had 15mg in the morning and 30mg at night. The day dose was not quite cutting it but the night time one had me sleeping soundly and pain free.
Yesterday, my doc changed me to a 24 hour one that peaks 8 hours after taking it. She said I needed to take it at 6pm so the peak would be over my sleeping hours.
I was in so much more pain last night when I went to bed and through the night woke up and this morning. I know morph sulph takes a couple of days to settle, so I am hanging in there but definitely feel worse than I was.
Maybe I am just not on enough too? And maybe I need to take it earlier than six pm to get the best effect about 11pm when I go to bed.
Anyone?
I'm not on that, and still have breakthrough pain in the night.
