OT!! I am Back!! | Arthritis Information

OK so the computer wanted to be a brat lol.  It's finally fixed and behaving nicely lol.

Everyone is doing well.  Danny has recovered from pneumonia but had an exacerbation of COPD.  Which as we know is caused by his many many years of smoking.  I think he has finally learned that he has to take care of himself and keep using his inhaler daily even when he feels good.

Danielle is doing well.  School is going well for both girls and they are both getting involved with after school activities.  Danielle is in Forensics (for us old people it is like Debate when we were in school) and Arielle is on Student Council and busy planning and setting up for Homecoming next week.

I am doing a little better.  There have been a little bit of results from my first Remicade infusion.  My morning stiffness is not that bad anymore and I can slog thru housework (as long as I don't overdo it) without taking any breakthru pain meds.  I still tire pretty easily and quickly and still need to take it slow and easy.  My next infusion is tomorrow at 1pm.  Hopefully I will not be a pin cushion again as I was last time.  I think that my MTX dose is now too high.  After the past 2 shots I have done since I started Remicade I have been incredibly sick the day after with nausea, vomiting, and incredible fatigue. The Remicade also caused some fatigue.  But I am not giving up on it just because of a couple of days out of the week of fatigue.  I can deal with it.

Thanks to everyone for thinking of me while I was gone.  I really appreciate it!!

I hope all is well with everyone!!

Grammaskittles!!  It's good to see you back and to hear that you're getting better.  I vote no to you being a pin cushion tomorrow and yes to your infusion bringing about further improvment.  I do get a vote in all that, right?

And you are totally right in thinking that you were missed. You were very much by very many.

Linda

Welcome back, GS!  Nice to have you back!'Bout friggin time.

We needed another good regulator around these parts....Karen wasn't doing a real good job....she's such a little instigator...hahah

Missed you!

Hugs to everybody!

Pip

Glad you're back gramma. It sounds like the girls are going great! And I'm glad Danny is on the mend.Glad that you're feeling better.

Hi there Liz, I really glad to see you posting again. Everything within the family seems to be doing well and thats a great thing to hear. I wont be posting for a few days as we are having a new shower room installed tomorrow and lots of other things going on but I hope to catch up with you all soon.

Take care

Well, thank god. I have so been missing you, Liz. Glad the computer is back online and that you and the whole family are doing okay.

Welcome back, you have been missed! Welcome back Liz! Glad to hear everyone is on the mend!

Hi Liz, am very happy to see you posting but I'm sorry that Danny has been ill.  You're right he needs to take care of himself.

It sounds as if the Remicade inf. are starting to work.  You'll feel better after each infusion.  Aren't you doing MXT inj. ?  I wouldn't think that it would make you so ill if you're injecting.  I almost wiped myself out this week by getting my infusion and inject. MXT on the same day!!  I could barely function for 24 hours but I don't have any RA pain, just pain from playing 9 holes of golf day before yesterday.  First full 9 holes I've played since 2001!!!!!!!!  See there's hope, even for us.  You'll going to start feeling great.  Lindy

Welcome back Gramma! Everyone has missed you so much

Kelstev:  your bug was freakin' me out! I thought it was on my screen and was trying to kill it with a kleenex. LOL

Hi Gramma, so happy to see you back and to hear all your news, you are a big part of AI so try not to go missing again as we all missed you, hope your family improves even more and stays well, love Janie. [QUOTE=CinDee]

Thanks everyone!!  Kelstev I love the bug.  I thought Danny made another little mark on my screen for his stupid game he plays online lol.  I was about to turn around and yell at him for it lol.

Lindy...I too thought that I wouldn't get sick from the mtx sine I inject it.  But that is what it has to be.  I have my handy dandy list to bring with me to the doc office and that is one of the questions on it.

I just can't wait for the infusions to be every 8 weeks!!!

Yup, good to see you posting again. We missed ya!
