Lipstick
Even if you do not wear lipstick, this is worth sharing Something to consider next time you go shopping for lipstick......This comes from someone who works in the breast cancer unit at Mt. Sinai Hospital, in Toronto. From: Dr. Nahid Neman If there is a female you care anything about, share this with her. I did!!!!!
I am also sharing this with the males on my email list, because they need to tell the females THEY care about as well!
Recently a lipstick brand called "Red Earth" decreased their prices from to .90. It contained lead. Lead is a chemical which causes cancer. T he lipstick brands that contain lead are> CHRISTIAN DIOR ANCOME CLINIQUE Y.S.L ESTEE LAUDER SHISEIDO RED EARTH (Lip Gloss) CHANEL (Lip Conditioner) MARKET AMERICA-MOTNES LIPSTICK. The higher the lead content, the greater the chance of causing cancer. After doing a test on lipsticks, it was found that the Y.S.L. lipstick contained the most amount of lead. Watch out for those lipsticks which are supposed to stay longer. If your lipstick stays longer, it is because of the higher content of lead.
Here is the test you can do yourself:
>1. Put some lipstick on your hand.
2. Use a Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick.
3. If the lipstick colour changes to black, then you know the lipstick contains lead.
Please send this information to all your girlfriends, wive! s and female family members.

oh....lol?
Yeah, it is so easy to get fooled by these emails we receive.  They certainly look and sound real.  I always verify them by checking out snopes.com before I send them on.
Sorry I posted it...first time I had heard it I'm senting the link to the person who send it to me...again sorry

Well. I think Rusty deserves points for trying!

And do people know that a lot of make-up has gluten in it?  I saw some Celiac posts on it.  Seems trying to get all the gluten out of your diet means checking the labels on the make-up and hairsprays and stuff.

Don't worry about it Rusty.  I have done it myself - more than once!  Hey it gave us the chance to hear more from you anyway.  I am glad you are posting - please keep it up.

Who the hell pays or more for lipstick? That's insane!

K~I guess some people do.....but that's rediculous! No way is it any better than something you can get in the drug store. These people have more money than they have good sense.

Pip

I found some lip liner at the Dollar store that I love! (I buy several everytime I'm in there just in case they stop selling it.

really?

I'm in LA - every little bit helps!

Doesn't matter for me anyway - I don't have any lips!  I have always had very thin lips, and the older I get, the more they disappear.  But that's okay, cause I really don't like the feel of lipstick on my lips anyway!  Even though I have these really thin lips, when I put lipstick on I feel like my lips are sticking out like Lucille Balls'!
