Methotrexate Can anyone tell me if I can change the day I take my MTX?  Like instead of every Monday can I take it a day early so I can get on a Sunday schedule? Much obliged! Lulu Hi Lulu, I've changed my days for MTX a few times.  But I've always gone a day or so later, like a Monday and then changing it to a Tuesday.  Kelly It should be fine. How much MTX do you take?   Hello LuLu, You sure can.  I use to take it on Friday nights but it would interfere with me watching my granddaughter on Saturdays so, I changed it to Saturday mornings.  The full kick of the MTX didn't hit me till evening by then she was home.   I rarely ever have any side effect from it now, guess my body gave up fighting it...but I think the Leucovorin is the reason why I do not have side effects now. Lulu Lulu, I went from Thursday to Wednesday with no problems at all and I take 17.5 mg. a week, but of course everybody's different .
