Re: Stress in Fatigue In Fibro and RA | Arthritis Information

I am so stressed and fatigued which I know is associated with Fibro and RA.  I had to put my Malamute, "Bear-Bear" in the Animal Hospital in Bethelem, PA.  He wasn't able to walk, and I put him in on a Friday, and he didn't come out till yesterday.  He is starting to walk again, but it's due to a disc in his back.  So now my husband and I have to sling walk him.  Outside he's able to walk a little.  You see we're taking care of Bear-Bear for the woman we bought our house from, and I want to do a good job.  Then we had to take our black lab mix to the vet, she's 17 years old, and then we had to put her down.  Lucy was such a good girl.  She gave us so much happiness over the 17 years we had her.  I swore I wouldn't cry, and I cried buckets.  I'm so tired now and fatigued.  I don't want to have to repeat this day ever.  Eventually we'll have to make the decision to put "Bear-Bear" down, but hopefully not too soon.  I just took "Bear-Bear" out and he walked out on his own, but he still can't manage the steps yet.  Soon maybe he'll be able to do it on his own.  Sorry to keep going on about this, but it was a hell of a day for me and my hubby.  I guess stress isn't good for Fibro and RA.  Thanks ahead for listening to my story.  Take care everyone.     Dotti51

Hope things get better. We are animal lovers and have 4. Well, 6 if you count our teens...

Dotti.  I'm sorry about Lucy.  I was the same way when our Border Collei Jack died. I cried so much I didn't think I'd ever get over it. Pet's aren't just pets.  They are our loyal friends and it is such a heartbreak when we lose them.

Bear-Bear sounds like a lot of work, you are a good friend and it sounds like you've accomplished what you set out for, to take good care of him.

Dotti, the first place stress shows up in me is awful pain in my back and shoulders. Thanks to the Fibro

Sorry about your dog, hope he gets better and you get rested up

Dotti, I am so sorry about your dog.... You have every right to cry about you dog, they truly are a part of our families.. You guys are so great to take care of Bear-bear, hope he gets better really soon.

Hugs

Dotti,

I didn't mean to say everyone else, hi to you to Dotti!!!! Sorry to hear about such a rough day.  I hope you feel better soon1

Dottie,

Really sorry to hear about the loss of your dog and really impressed by the work and care that you are putting into your "adopted (I guess?)  dog" - especially while dealing with your own physical problems!

I have certainly already figured out, as I guess you have as well, that Stress has a huge impact on the activity level of our diseases. Since it is so unavoidable though, just try to be extra kind to yourself this week!

Regards,

Melly
