Dear Forum Members,

I have a question. Please I'm desperate, any help would be greatly appreciated. My wife was diagnosed with a Viral Arthritis about 2 months ago. She started having pain in the wrists, so we thought it was carpal tunnel. Doctors performed physical tests and decided it was not carpal tunnel it was a tendonitis. OK fine a tendonitis, she was in pain medication and antimflamatories for 2 weeks not showing any improvements. After the 2nd. week she started to feel the same pain in the ankles and the feet. That made us think humm, that's not Carp Tunnel because she does not use the computer with the feet. Went to the doctor again and he said maybe it's caused due to a virus. They did blood work and yes he says it's a virus ( no signs of lupus, reomathoid etc ). OK fine she was diagnosed with a viral Arth. The doctor is saying that it's like a bad flu, that eventualy it will fade but the bad thing is that he doesn't know when. I showed my concern to the Doctor, I said how is it possible to be in that kind of medication and not showing any improvements. He decided to perform an MRI on the head looking for something he considered very rare. Nothing showed on the MRI he said some vessels irritated maybe because of the migraines she is having ( to stressed).  Now it's been 2 months and she is not showing improvements. The medicine is working but verryyyy slllooowwly. She is taking Nabumetone of 500MG for 2 months. Now guys if you would be so kind to shed some light any advise any questions, any help, please. M wife keeps saying that when she was in the gym she switched from the jacuzzi to the cold pool and that migt be a reason. Also she sprained her back doing some exercises she says it's also because of that.

The pain is localized on the palm of the hands and the feet in the ankle area.

Thanks so much for the valuable help and the time reading this long post.

anyone?..please

Sorry to hear about your wifes pain. I have no clue what she might have, but you might try posting this in  the RA forum. It is a bit busier.
