Always something. | Arthritis Information

Hi guys, I have been fortunate enough to have a reduction in pain for the  last few days or so, am I allowed to feel "normal", like hell I am, there is always something!  My cough returned, and I spent last night unable to sleep and vomiting awfully for about an hour after incredible nausea for a couple of hours, then I could not get warm so went to bed with the electric blanket - like I say there is always something.  Hugs Janie.

I'm so sorry you had a rough night. I hope you feel better real soon Jane.

Thanks Lori, I really appreciate your concern, love Janie. UGH... sure sounds like a stomach bug and resulting dehydration.  Try to rehydrate - even if you have to do it a sip at a time.  Water, green tea, dilute apple juice, sports rehydration drinks (brand name of Gatorade here in the states - fruit-flavored drinks with bit of sugar and a bit of salt, used by athletes during training and games).  Perhaps some paracetamol (acetaminophen on this side of the pond) if the headache persists.  Rest up and take care!

Oh I hope today is better.  Sounds like a stomach bug which is no fun.  :(

Drink up and rest up and take it easy, that's about all you can do.  But you are so right it always seems to be something.

Janie, are you taking anything for the cough?  Have they determined why you can't get rid of it?  It really shouldn't be back.  Any possiblity that you can call your doctor today and let him know about your night?  You've had this cough for way too long, course know one knows that better than you.  Bouts of coughing leave you completely drained of energy. I really am sorry about this additional illness just when you were feeling good.  It happens to most of us.  We feel good then bam something else raises it's ugly head.   Keep us posted.  Lindy

Janie...sorry you're not feeling well..please take care of yourself and get plenty of rest!

Kelly

I know exactly what you mean.

My Dad used to say 'If not one thing, then it is two others.'

I found that wonderfully funny at the time. But these days it really is a fact. I'm not laughing out loud any more, but it does make me grin and remember my Dad.
